Single Tickets Available for The Dallas Opera As Of 9/12

The Dallas Opera has announced that single ticket sales to the general public for the action-packed 2011-2012 Season - their third in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center - will begin on Monday, September 12, 2010 at 10:00 am.

Seattle Opera Announces Artists of the Year, Balanced Budget for 2010/11 Season

On Tuesday, August 9, at Seattle Opera's Annual Meeting at McCaw Hall, the company announced that it achieved a balanced budget (unaudited) for the 2010/11 season, which included productions of Tristan und Isolde, Lucia di Lammermoor, The Barber of Seville, Don Quichotte, and The Magic Flute. The original budget for the season totaled more than $23 million; the total expense budget for the season, unaudited, is projected to be just less than $21.5 million.

Festival d'Aix-en-Provence Announces Detailed 2011 Season

From July 5 to 25, 2011, the 63rd season of Festival d'Aix-en-Provence will offer six new opera and musical theater productions including two world premieres; a concert series featuring symphonic works, chamber music and recitals; and the programs of the 14th Academie Europeenne de Musique.

Review Roundup: West End's LEND ME A TENOR

The brand-new West End production of LEND ME A TENOR is directed by Olivier award-winning director Ian Talbot (High Society, Anything Goes) and choreographed by Tony-nominated choreographer Randy Skinner (42nd Street, White Christmas). The production is designed by Paul Farnsworth, with lighting by Tim Mitchell, and sound by Terry Jardine and Nick Lidster. The Musical Supervisor is Tony Award Winner Paul Gemignani, the Musical Director is Colin Billing, and orchestrations are by Chris Walker.

Madison Opera Celebrates 50th Anniversary During 2010-11 Season

Madison Opera is excited to announce its 50th anniversary season, featuring Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, the company premiere of Kurt Weill's The Threepenny Opera, and Verdi's La Traviata. In July 2011, Madison Opera also celebrates the 10th anniversary of Opera in the Park, a Madison Summer Tradition.
