Disney's Beauty and the Beast plays ZACH's Topfer Stage from July 11-September 2, 2018 under the direction of Associate Artistic Director Abe Reybold with musical direction by Allen Robertson and choreography by Sara Burke.
The Park Theatre will kick-off its 2018 Summer Festival with 3 free screenings of Hugh Jackman in the gala musical, The Greatest Showman on Thursday, July 19. The story of the famous circus producer P.T. Barnum will have 3 screenings (1p, 3p and 7p) and take place at the Jaffrey Woman's Club at 33 Main Street in downtown Jaffrey. The movie is being presented as part of the Jaffrey Civic Center's Night of 1,000 Cupcakes festivities.

In theatre there are few spaces as uniquely prestigious or complicated as The Avignon Theatre Festival's La Cour d'Honneur. Situated in the 14th century Palais des Papes, the immense open-air stage is backed by an imposing 100-foot stone wall. The wall comes unhelpfully pre-furnished with scenic elements such as a large gothic balcony and haphazardly placed windows. The work of any director must ultimately answer to such an imposing space. Musicals at Richter (MAR), celebrating its 34th season as the longest-running outdoor theater in Connecticut, kicks off the summer with 'Legally Blonde,' the effervescent and wildly upbeat musical based on the popular 2001 film comedy starring Reese Witherspoon. Staged on the grounds of the Richter Arts Center in Danbury, performances take place outdoors under the stars Friday through Sunday evenings at 8:00 p.m., with additional specially discounted performances on Thursday, July 5 and 12. After a distinguished career as a principal dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Warren became widely known and respected as a teacher, historian and archivist. His many awards include a Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal in 1977, a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012, and being named a member of the order of Canada in 2004.
