TURANDOT opens on Friday, April 5, 2013 (The Amy and Vernon Faulconer Performance) in theMargot and Bill Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in the Dallas Arts District, underwritten in part by TACA.

LA RUTA - a new play by Ed Cardona Jr. commissioned by Working Theater in 2011 -- will debut in an Off-Broadway production by Working Theater with preview performances starting April 10th and an official press opening on April 18th. Tamilla Woodard, known for her innovative site-specific work (HOTEL PROJECT), will direct the production. It has been announced by Mark Plesent, Working Theater's Producing Artistic Director.

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced the cast for Thoroughly Modern Millie, winner of the 2002 Drama Desk and Tony Award for Best Musical. This effervescent musical romp will feature Ashley Kate Adams (Miss Dorothy Brown), Brenda Braxton (Muzzy Van Hossmere), Billy Bustamante (Bun Foo), Jeff Kready (Jimmy Smith), Burke Moses (Mr. Trevor Graydon), Lenora Nemetz (Mrs. Meers), James Seol (Ching Ho), Jessica Sheridan (Miss Flannery) and Laurie Veldheer (Millie Dillmount). Thoroughly Modern Millie will be directed by Paper Mill Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Mark S. Hoebee with choreography by Denis Jones. Thoroughly Modern Millie will run at the Millburn, New Jersey, theater from April 10 through May 5, 2013. The official press opening is Sunday, April 14, at 7:00pm.

As reported by the Daily Mail, 'Downton Abbey' star Hugh Bonneville is set to co-host this year's Olivier Awards with Sheridan Smith at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden on April 28, 2013. Nominations will be revealed March 26.

According to the Daily Mail, Mark Rylance will star as Thomas Cromwell, Henry VIII's chief minister, in a six-part BBC mini-series adaptation of Hilary Mantel's popular novels Wolf Hall and Bring Up The Bodies.

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein have announced O Guru Guru Guru, or why I don't want to go to yoga class with you by Mallery Avidon, directed by former Actors Theatre directing intern Lila Neugebauer. The play will run in the Victor Jory Theatre beginning on March 20, opening March 22 and running through April 7th. The production is part of the 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation.

Diana Damrau will make her role debut as the courtesan Violetta in La Traviata, conducted by Yannick Nezet-Seguin in his first Met performances of the Verdi tragedy. Saimir Pirgu sings Violetta's lover Alfredo, and Placido Domingo sings the role of Alfredo's father, Giorgio Germont, in this revival of Willy Decker's 2010 production. This season's performances will be Damrau's first time singing the role of Violetta anywhere, while Domingo will move from the tenor role of Alfredo, which he has sung at the Met numerous times since 1970, to the baritone role of Giorgio.

Naked Shakespeare, Acorn Productions' acting company dedicated to presenting the works of the Bard in non-traditional venues without sets, lights, and costumes, has decided to offer another edition of its monthly shows at the Wine Bar on Wharf Street in March. Arizona Theatre Company (ATC) brings Neil Simon's comic masterpiece about show business, friendship and growing old, 'The Sunshine Boys' to Arizona audiences. David Ira Goldstein directs one of Neil Simon's most beloved and acclaimed plays in ATC's new production that will premiere in Tucson for three weeks of performances and continue to Phoenix for an additional three weeks. ATC's 'The Sunshine Boys' opens at the Temple of Music and Art, running from tonight, March 2, 2013 through March 23, 2013. It continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from March 28, 2013 through April 14, 2013.
