The Acting Company will honor playwright John Guare and film and theater producer/philanthropist Anne L. Bernstein - two individuals whose exemplary work aligns with the artistic and educational ideals of the widely acclaimed touring repertory company that promotes theater and arts education nationwide - at the Company's 2017 Winter Gala, on December 4.

Austin Pendleton and Barbara Bleier return to downtown's hideaway, Pangea, in September and October, with BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE - The Songs of John Bucchino and Amanda McBroom. There are two performances scheduled: September 26th and October 3rd at 7:00pm.

Cal State Fullerton's 2017-2018 season opens with Frankenstein based on the novel by Mary Shelley, adapted by Bruce Goodrich and directed by CSUF Professor Maria Cominis, which runs September 29-October 15, 2017 in the Young Theatre on campus. MadLab's Ohio premiere production of And Then They Fell by Tira Palmquist will take place Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 6 - 21, 2017, with a special preview performance on Thursday, Oct.5, at MadLab, 227 N. 3rd St., in Columbus. Admission is $18 for the general public, $15 for students and seniors and $13 for MadLab members. Tickets are available online at www.madlab.net.

Psychiatrist and Harvard Medical School associate professor Nancy Rappaport brings her new solo-show, Regeneration, to the 8th annual United Solo Festival on Theatre Row. The production is directed by Grace Kiley. After the first three performances sold-out, a fourth performance was added on Sunday, October 15 at 7:30 pm.

Antony Raymond's new play, Apartment 301, opened at the Access Theater in Tribeca last week. The World Premiere is being produced by the award-winning Elsinore County Theatre Company and is directed by Raymond. The company's previous plays have been recognized by the New York Innovative Theatre Awards and have received critical acclaim. Raymond's past productions include Pretty Babies, yeah, i met this girl…, JULIO!, and The Title Should Be Spoken Out Loud Around Three-Quarters In (Dream Up Festival 2016), among others.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf is Edward Albee's first Broadway production and is considered now to be a contemporary American classic. Opening on Broadway on October 13, 1962, and starring Uta Hagen and Arthur Hill, the original productions received both critical acclaim and public scorn for its confrontational characters, bitter philosophy on love, and realistic quality on an aging couple with a dark past.

After its critically acclaimed premiere in Nashville, JJewell Productions' Goblin Market will be presented at the 59E59 Theaters in New York this weekend, July 14-16, as part of the East to Edinburgh Festival.

Award-winning Elsinore County, under the Artistic Direction of Antony Raymond, will premiere the new comedy Apartment 301 at the Access Theater in Tribeca. Apartment 301 was written by Antony Raymond who also serves as director.

???????Horton Foote's The Traveling Lady, directed by Austin Pendleton, opened on June 22 and was originally set to run through July 16, 2017, has been extended and will now run through July 30, 2017 at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St.).

Cherry Lane Theatre's Founder's Project will celebrate 100 years of Horton Foote as they present, in a co-production with La Femme Theatre Productions, The Traveling Lady, directed by Austin Pendleton. The Traveling Lady will begin performances tonight, June 7, and will open on June 22 running through July 16, 2017 at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St.) in Greenwich Village.

Theatre East honored Richard Mawe with the 2017 Laurette Taylor Award on Monday, May 15th in New York City. Richard Mawe, an ardent supporter of the arts, served for decades as a teacher and Board President at HB Studio where he studied with Herbert Berghof and Uta Hagen.
