John Barrowman is set to join the cast of Menier Chocolate Factory's La Cage aux Folles, stepping into the roll of Albin on 9/14. The roll is currently being played by Roger Allam.

Finian's Rainbow, which just ended a critically acclaimed five-performance run at New York City Center's Encores! series last weekend, will move to Broadway's St. James Theatre in the fall. Producers David Richenthal and Jack Viertel announced that the show, which hasn't been seen on Broadway since 1960 (it premiered in 1947), will be adapted from the Encores! concert presentation into a full production.

Frist Center announces their Calendar of Events March 1-May 17, 2009 Free Jazz on the Move Series Continues, March 15 and April 19 The Nashville Jazz Workshop and the Frist Center for the Visual Arts present the popular series, Jazz on the Move, that feature a combination lecture and performance, presented by some of Nashville's top jazz artists and educators. The programs take place on a series of Sunday at 3 p.m. in the auditorium. All performances are free and open to the public. This series is made possible by an Arts Builds Communities (ABC) grant from the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission in cooperation with the Tennessee Arts Commission.

Wanda Sykes, Emmy winning entertainer and one of the country's premiere comedians, is coming to the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway on March 19th. Wanda Sykes has been called one of the funniest stand up comics by her peers and ranks among Entertainment Weekly's 25 Funniest People in America. Sykes currently can be seen on the CBS comedy The New Adventures of Old Christine with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and was a writer and performer on HBO's The Chris Rock Show for five years where she was nominated for three Emmy awards and in 1999 won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Special.

On Tuesday, February 3rd, beloved star of stage and screen Nathan Lane, celebrated his birthday at The Cafe Carlyle in Manhattan by taking in a performance of Christine Ebersole's acclaimed cabaret concert. Due to demand for tickets, Naked Angels (Geoffrey Nauffts, Artistic Director and Brittany O'Neill, Managing Director) has extended the world premiere engagement of Stephen Belber's new dark comedy Fault Lines, directed by David Schwimmer. Fault Lines opened September 30, 2008 at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street). The run will now continue through November 9, 2008.
