The return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING opens this week in the Kennedy Center Opera House for a limited nine-week engagement through August 17. In Washington, D.C., THE LION KING plays Tuesdays through Sunday evenings at 7:30pm with 1:30pm matinees on Saturdays and Sundays. There will be 1:30pm matinees on Wednesday, July 2, Wednesday, July 30 and Wednesday, August 13. There will not be a performance on Friday, July 4.

The Toronto return of Disney's THE LION KING began performances on Wednesday April 30 and officially opens tonight, Thursday, May 1 at the Princess of Wales Theatre, where it will play a limited seven-week engagement through Sunday June 15. The award-winning musical premiered in Toronto in April 2000 at the Princess of Wales Theatre, where it played 1,560 performances through January 2004 and returned in 2011 for an eight-week sold-out engagement.
The Atlanta return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tomorrow, Saturday, April 12 at 8 p.m. at the Fox Theatre for a limited three-week engagement through Sunday, April 27. In Atlanta, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. as well as matinees on Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. A special weekday matinee will take place on Thursday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m. "While sales have exceeded our expectations, tickets can still be purchased and patrons are encouraged to contact the Fox Theatre Box Office to inquire about the best availability," said Russ Belin, Vice President of Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta.

Proceeds from the two shows will go to Story Shifters, an education residency program providing free theater education to New York City students with autism and other learning disabilities.
