Charlottesville Opera's 41st Summer Season Begins Next Month Charlottesville Opera's 41st summer season begins in July with performances of Mozart's beloved masterpiece, The Marriage of Figaro, and Stephen Sondheim's modern take on classic fairy tales, Into the Woods, presented at The Paramount Theater.

On Tuesday evening, April 12 North Carolina Opera revealed its upcoming new season at CAM Raleigh (Contemporary Art Museum). Over 300 fans and friends of the organization excitedly gathered for the unveiling of the new season's productions and casting as presented by NCO Artistic & Music Director Timothy Myers, along with live performances of excerpts from the operas.

NC Opera to Present THE BARBER OF SEVILLE in April

To conclude its 2015/16 Season, North Carolina Opera will present fully-staged production of Rossini's THE BARBER OF SEVILLE on Friday, April 1 at 8pm and on Sunday, April 3 at 3pm at Meymandi Concert Hall in the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

CAT Theatre Announces Cast for SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE FINAL ADVENTURE

CAT Theatre's 51st season will open with Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure which runs October 24 through November 8, 2014. Adapted by Steven Dietz, it is based on the original 1899 play by William Gillette and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and was the winner of the 2007 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Play.

The Dallas Opera Appoints Brian Zeger as Chair of the Judges Panel for the 2015 Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition

The Dallas Opera is proud to announce the appointment of Brian Zeger as Chair of the Judges Panel for the 2015 Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition. The Dallas Opera Season Kicks Off With FIRST SIGHT FASHION SHOW AND LUNCHEON, 10/23

It's the place to see and be seen this fall – FIRST SIGHT FASHION SHOW AND LUNCHEON! The Dallas Opera 2014-15 “Heights of Passion” Season opens with a stunning fashion show featuring styles by world-class Italian designer Roberto Cavalli, as well as, six custom-made gowns created by internationally renowned designers inspired by each of the operas presented this season. The lavish event, co-chaired by Lynn McBee and Nicholas Even, also includes a delectable gourmet luncheon. Elizabeth Kimple is the Chair of the luncheon.

CAT Theatre Reveals Cast for ENCHANTED APRIL, Running 3/21-4/5

CAT Theatre continues its 50th Anniversary Season with Enchanted April which runs from March 21 thru April 5, 2014. Enchanted April was chosen by CAT patrons as the show they would most like to see repeated from CAT's 50-year history. 'The Enchanted April' was written by Elizabeth von Arnim and the novel was adapted to the stage by Kane Campbell. The 1991 film version featured Miranda Richardson, Alfred Molina and Joan Plowright.

TOSCA, FAUST and THE BARBER OF SEVILLE Set for Atlanta Opera's 2013-14 Season

The Atlanta Opera, one of the nation's finest regional opera companies enriching lives through the power of opera, yesterday announced its 2013-2014 season. The season opens with Tosca in October 2013, followed by Gounod's Faust in March 2014, and concludes with The Barber of Seville in April and May 2014. All performances will take place at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.
