Nashville Children's Theatre (NCT) this morning announces its 85th Anniversary season. Since 1931, NCT has been leading the way in providing professional theatre to young audiences. As the oldest professional children's theatre in the nation, NCT is proud to continue its mission to provide extraordinary theatrical experiences to youth, families and adults.

According to Deadline, Disney has tapped David Lowery to helm a live-action take on the beloved tale of PETER PAN. Toby Halbrooks will co-write the script, based upon the studio's 1953 animated film.

The Arvada Center has announced its 2016-17 season, a diverse line-up of plays and musicals. The three musical and four play season includes a world premiere musical over the Christmas holiday along with a regional premiere play in Spring 2017.

The French singer and actress Floanne shines a fresh new light on Paris in her musical tribute to the French spirit at Feinstein's/54 Below on Friday April 22 at 9:30pm.  

The 1960's cult classic "The Graduate" is the next production at the Barn Players - opening Friday evening, May 27th and playing through Sunday matinee June 12th at the Barn Players Theatre, 6219 Martway in Mission; the play is rated "R".

M.A.D. likes to push the envelope, and with Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell's humorous cult classic, they have gleefully ripped up that envelope and stomped it to the ground.

Touchstone proudly presents its latest devised work, Bhudoo (pronounced BOO-doo), a musical fable from a far-away land that tells the story of three wizards vying for the title of Royal Grand Vizier, and for the audience's favor at the annual Bhudoo Games.

Lehmann Maupin is pleased to present Kindred Spirits, renowned Brazilian artist Adriana Varejão's sixth solo exhibition with the gallery. The artist will be present for an opening reception at the gallery on Thursday, April 21, from 6-8PM.

In early 20th Century Russia, circus performers were referred to as "eccentrics," a term picked up by the St. Petersburg-based avant-garde group of artists, writers, and filmmakers who comprised the "Factory for the Eccentric Actor' or FEKS. For them, using stunts, gags, and tricks became ways to address the changing pace of life with new developments in technology and media culture. The circus emerged as a touchstone because it was a place where the impossible happened, and social orders and scientific laws were stretched to challenge the conventions of the reality outside of the tent.

On Today, March 24th at 7pm, Academy Award-winning actress Olympia Dukakis will take the stage at American Players Theatre's Touchstone Theatre. She will share anecdotes about her remarkable life and career, and will answer questions from the audience - a rare and intimate opportunity.

This unique portrayal of iconic biblical characters by an interracial cast offers an innovative and effective reimagining of the Easter story for modern audiences.

ALBUQUERQUE-- Actress, comedian and author, Felicia Day, will be discussing her memoir, You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost), April 29, at 7pm in Woodward Hall at the University of New Mexico. Local independent bookstore, Bookworks, and UNM Creative Writing are partnering on the event as Day tours for the paperback release of her book from Simon and Schuster's Touchstone Books.
