Tony Sheldon, star of the exciting new Broadway transfer PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, recently chatted with Broadway Beat about the long journey that he has taken with the show. Sheldon reveals, 'I did the very first workshop when it was just a 10 day experiment to see whether the film would transplant onto the stage. And by the end of the 10 days when we presented it, we realized this show has legs. So that was when I actively committed to wanting to do the show, but then I had to audition- along with everybody else.'

On February 11, the divas from the highly anticipated musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert performed a melody of music from the show as well as a meet and greet. The event took place at the Coca Cola Lounge on the 2nd floor of the Time Warner Center.

On Saturday, February 5, The Greater New York Human Rights Campaign Gala took place at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The Gala honored stage and screen star Julianne Moore with the Ally for Equality Award, which was presented to her by Mark Ruffalo. The cast of Broadway's upcoming Priscilla, Queen of the Desert provided the evening's entertainment.
