Ella Mai, the New York City Ballet's production of "George Balanchine's The Nutcracker," Rob Thomas and the Radio City Rockettes have been added to the list of spectacular performances slated for this year's "Christmas in Rockefeller Center®" telecast on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 8-10 p.m. ET/PT. 

Annenberg Center Live and NextMove Dance present three performances (Friday, November 30 at 8 PM and December 1 at 2 PM and 8 PM) of Jessica Lang Dance, the company's final Philadelphia performances before it closes down in April 2019. Tickets are available at AnnenbergCenter.org or 215.898.3900.

Iconic singer-songwriter k.d. lang performs a 25th anniversary concert celebrating her critically acclaimed 1992 album 'Ingenue' from the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Texas, in k.d. lang - Landmarks Live in Concert - A Great Performances Special, premiering nationwide Friday, December 14 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings).

Warm up your holiday season with the Artists Lounge Live production of An Unforgettable Nat King Cole Christmas starring Evan Tyrone Martin from December 5-7, 2018 at the Aronoff Center's intimate Jarson-Kaplan Theater.  All performances are at 7:30 PM.  The show is a part of the Cincinnati Arts Association's 2018-19 Season.

The award-winning PBS series Independent Lens today announced its Winter and Spring 2019 slate, a series of documentary films that take viewers on a cross-country journey through modern America. From renowned film veterans including Eugene Jarecki (The King) and David Sutherland (Marcos Doesn't Live Here Anymore) to first-time filmmakers Anna Moot-Levin and Laura Green (The Providers), Denali Tiller (Tre Maison Dasan) and Ciara Lacey (Out of State), the lineup offers a fresh and up-to-the-minute look at America, from the rural south to urban Baltimore, from the vineyards of Napa to the Louisiana bayou.

GRAMMY® winners Norah Jones, P!nk, Mark  Ronson, and Chris Stapleton; GRAMMY nominees Leon Bridges and Lauren Daigle; and singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes will perform at the 2019 MusiCares® Person of the Year tribute concert honoring Dolly Parton on Feb. 8. GRAMMY winner Parton will close the evening's performances. GRAMMY-nominated musician Greg Phillinganes will be the evening's musical director. More guest performers will be announced shortly.

Jessica Lang Dance (JLD) and Selby Artists Management (SAM) announce today that after the incredible success of the last seven years, Jessica Lang Dance has decided to close on April 30, 2019, which is the end of its 19-city, 2018-19 season. Ms. Lang will continue her creative work as a choreographer, working with companies around the world.

In four stellar concerts featuring some of the brightest luminaries in jazz today, 2019's Highlights In Jazz series brings together a multitude of beloved jazz musicians spanning an eclectic mix of generations and styles. You'll hear unforgettable performances from jazz veterans including Warren Vaché, Houston Person, and Norman Simmons; up-and-comers like Veronica Swift, Christian Sands, and Peter and Will Anderson; and straight-ahead stalwarts such as Steve Turre, George Cables, Buster Williams, along with many more. These gifted players and others will pay tribute to a pantheon of jazz legends, including this year's featured honoree, trumpeter Randy Brecker; plus, the music of Randy Weston, Erroll Garner, Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong will also be featured.

Electric Youth 2019 will debut at THE BLACK BOX on January 5 with two shows at 6:30 and 8:30 pm. The 2019 group of talented young singers and dancers includes Laney Dragsbaek, Hayley Driscoll, Tatiana McAlpine, Kelly McCormick, Emma Nicholson, Hannah Rezendes, Madison Rezendes, and Lindsey Wyner of Franklin, Susauna Wickstrom of Wrentham, Griffin Wilkins and Caroline Wilkins of Walpole, and Cassidy Baratta and Kelsey Breslin of Hopkinton.

The most wonderful time of the year kicks off with the annual lighting of New York City's famous tree on NBC's “Christmas in Rockefeller Center®” on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 8-10 p.m. ET/PT. The evening will include festive performances by Diana Ross, Tony Bennett & Diana Krall, Brett Eldredge, Darci Lynne Farmer, Diana Krall, John Legend, Martina McBride, Pentatonix and Kellie Pickler, with a special appearance by Howie Mandel. Today, Sotheby's New York is announcing the full collection of Lady Blue Eyes: Property of Barbara and Frank Sinatra, a series of auctions this December from the estate of Barbara Sinatra that provides a rare look into the lives of the Sinatra's. The collection includes more than 200 works that Barbara and Frank assembled and lived with during their 22-year marriage, including jewelry, decorative arts, film and entertainment memorabilia, and political collectables.

The State Theatre in Easton announces four new shows for the 2018-2019 Season bringing the mid-season addition list to eight new shows for its 92nd season. The theatre also announces the list of local stars who will compete in Dancing with the Lehigh Valley Stars in April.
