The Public Theater's Shakespeare In The Park presentation of HAIR will hold its official press opening tonight, August 7th, 2008

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Mara Manus) announced today that Christopher J. Hanke will join the cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical at the Delacorte Theater for the final two week extension of the run (August 17 to August 31, 2008).

The daughter of a Vietnam vet, Megan plays one of the hippies in this summer's Shakespeare in the Park revival.

On July 9th, clothing store Theory (40 Gansevoort St and Hudson) presented a 45-minute preview performance of the Public Theater's upcoming revival of Hair (the show opens July 22nd). The store also exhibited its own original Hair paraphernalia, ranging from scripts to T-shirts and programs inside the boutique. After the show the cast, writer Jim Rado, Public Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, and guests attended an exclusive after-party.
