The Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood has sold over 107,000 tickets for Joe Louis Arena, home of the Detroit Red Wings. This breaks Garth's previous Michigan record of 103,458 tickets sold. The previous record was set May 8 - May 12 1996, at The Palace in Auburn Hills over five shows. Tickets for all six shows at Joe Louis Arena are still selling.
Though it is the shortest month of the year, it is a busy one at Performance Network. For starters, the second slot in the 20142015 season, the powerful yet heartwarming 'Yellowman,' will close February 15 after rave reviews from critics and patrons alike. On February 17, the free class demonstration that was originally scheduled for February 2, will take place at 7:30pm. Having begun a successful run of 'Driving Miss Daisy', the Network is shifting some of its focus to additional programming. Every Saturday, beginning today, October 4, the Network will host a free Story Time at 11 a.m. for children ages 3-8 where a staff member will read from popular children's books.
