According to Deadline.com, Aaron Sorkin has withdrawn as librettist of the upcoming Broadway production Houdini, starring Hugh Jackman. Sorkin's schedule, including his commitments involving the second season of HBO's 'The Newsroom' and adapting Walter Isaacson's book 'Steve Jobs' for Sony Pictures, would not allow him time to continue work on the musical.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Film Comment Selects announced it will present a sneak preview screening of Steven Soderbergh's SIDE EFFECTS tonight, January 30 at 8:00PM. The screening will take place at the Walter Reade Theater (165 West 65th Street) and will be followed by a Q&A with Soderbergh, writer/producer Scott Z. Burns and stars Rooney Mara and Jude Law.

The McCallum Theatre, in partnership with Break-Away Tours, has announced its 2013 Springtime Theatre Tours to New York and London. HBO has finally announced its follow-up to the previous miniseries BAND OF BROTHERS and THE PACIFIC. The latest entry comes as an adaptation of Donald Miller's nonfiction piece, MASTERS OF THE AIR - with Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks set as executive producers.
