Author Jonathan Franzen is working on a TV adaptation of his book, PURITY. Daniel Craig is set to star with director Todd Field at the helm. According to Variety, 'Multiple bidders — including Showtime, Netflix and others — are in talks' for the series. It will be produced by Scott Rudin and written by Todd Field and Franzen.

The live-to-tape event will be executive produced by Diana Zahn-Storey who returns for her 17th broadcast and will premiere later that evening on IFC at 10:00 pm ET/PT.
