Harlem Stage, a performing arts center and one of the country's top presenters, producers, and supporters of works by artists of color, presents 'visible/invisible: Naked City,' the Harlem-focused first section of a new contemporary dance piece being created by choreographers Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Founder and Artistic Director of Urban Bush Women, and 2007 BESSIE Award-winner Nora Chipaumire.

Lincoln Center Festival Of 2009 Announces Pop & Music Lineup For Summer

The music lineup at Lincoln Center Festival 09 includes US debuts by Algerian music icon Idir and Moroccan Chaabi singer Najat Aatabou; a double bill with Justin Adams and Juldeh Camara, and Issa Bagayogo; and a tribute to celebrated New Orleans songwriter Wardell Quezergue, featuring a roster of noted musical artists from that city's annual Ponderosa Stomp music festival.

'Celia: The Life & Music Of Celia Cruz' Returns To S. Florida

Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County hosts the return of the hit musical CELIA: THE LIFE & MUSIC OF CELIA CRUZ. From June 2 - 21, 2009, South Florida audiences will witness the story of how the marvelous 'queen of salsa' rose to musical fame over the course of 60 years. The last CELIA: THE LIFE & MUSIC OF CELIA CRUZ run at the Adrienne Arsht Center was the launching point for the show's international tour and drew more than 20,000 attendees, including celebrities such as Gloria and Emilio Estefan, talk show host Cristina Saralegui and many more.

Lincoln Center Launches 50th Anniversary Celebration At The Starr Theater 5/11

Today, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts officially launches a yearlong celebration of its 50th Anniversary with a commemorative ceremony in the Starr Theater at Alice Tully Hall.
