The season will open with the Philadelphia Premiere of a one-woman staging of The Handmaid's Tale (October 15-November 14). It continues with The Bald Soprano (December 2-December 19). 2016 kicks off with the production of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman (February 4-March 5). The season concludes with Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan (April 21-May 21).
The Theatre Lab, in partnership with Theater J, presents Tina Howe's MUSEUM at Theater J today, August 7, as the culmination of its 2015 Summer Acting Institute for Teens. That same weekend, The Theatre Lab's Musical Theatre Institute for Teens will open their production of the classic musical CABARET, with music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. Cabaret runs now through August 8 at The Theatre Lab.

Gardner and Fanny Church are moving out of their Beacon Hill house and into their summer cottage on Cape Cod. Gardner, once a famous poet, is now retired and fading. Fanny valiantly tries to keep them both afloat. They have asked their daughter, Mags, to come home and help them move. Mags agrees, for she hopes as well to finally paint their portrait. She is now on the verge of artistic celebrity herself and hopes, by painting her parents, to come to terms with them, and they with her.
