Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig have announced today that the hit musical Kinky Boots will donate a portion of all proceeds from tickets sold to the Sunday, June 26th Pride weekend performance to benefit the Our Fund Foundation, which promotes a culture of philanthropy by uniting donors with organizations supporting the LGBT community in Southern Florida, to help the victims and families of the recent Orlando tragedy.

'Broadway Up, Guns Down' is charity benefit concert in response to the tragic mass shooting that occurred at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida. On Monday June 27th at 8pm, Broadway artists will unite to uplift through song honoring the beautiful lives lost. All funds raised will go directly to the Zebra Coalition in Orlando, FL. A LGTBQ youth based non-for-profit currently offering assistance in Orlando.

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Alan Mingo Jr. will play 'Lola' in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), beginning March 29, 2016. Mingo, who comes to Broadway straight from the Toronto production of Kinky Boots, succeeds Emmy Award-winner Wayne Brady in the role. Brady, who took over the coveted part of 'Lola' from Tony Award-winner (and original star) Billy Porter in November 2015, plays his final performance on March 27, 2016.

Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Song Salon will offer a special presentation with three rising Broadway talents -- Sydney James Harcourt (Hamilton), Doreen Montalvo (On Your Feet) and Timothy Ware (Kinky Boots) -- who will present musical highlights from their respective shows. The evening will be held on Monday, November 30 in a spectacular, sky-high location on West 57th Street.

Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will present additional staged readings next month of two musicals in development for upcoming full productions. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Emmy Award-winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady will take over the coveted role of 'Lola' in the Tony Award®-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on November 21, 2015. Brady will succeed Broadway's original (and current) award-winning 'Lola,' Billy Porter. Porter has played over 800 performances in the role and won both a Tony Award and a Grammy Award for his work in the production. His final historic performance in Kinky Boots will be November 20, 2015.
