BWW Interviews: 6 Questions & a Plug with CAMELOT's Tim Rogan

Dashing Tim Rogan plays the lover Lancelot, whose passion sets off the end of the fabled CAMELOT, in the new tour galloping to the Ordway's main stage this week. He answers 6 Questions & a Plug before taking the Twin Cities on.

BWW Reviews: CAMELOT a Dazzling Masterpiece

The lyrics tell all. "In short there's simply not a more congenial spot than here in Camelot," now lodged at Fresno's Saroyan Theatre through tonight only. Originally launched into success by Julie Andrews and Richard Harris, the classic receives a new, simplified staging with an overwhelming ambiance, as well as a Renaissance acoustic makeover.

BWW Reviews: Broadway Tour of CAMELOT Dusts Off an Old Tale at PPAC

Some classic stories, tales, myths and legends do more than stand the test of time. They speak to generation after generation, entertaining and teaching new audiences across the ages. The legends of King Arthur and his knights of Camelot are those kinds of stories. They remain as well-known and beloved today as they have ever been. There are similar theatrical entertainments, plays and musicals, that stand the test of time, entertaining the masses in the same way for years and decades. Unfortunately, Camelot, the musical version of those Arthurian legends, is not that kind of musical.

BWW Reviews: CAMELOT at Tennessee Performing Arts Center

Nashville gets a taste of chivalry, sword fighting, and magic with the tour of Lerner & Loewe's Camelot, which plays at Tennessee Performing Arts Center through November 9th. Most people grew up with some version of the story of King Arthur, his wife Queen Guenevere, and Arthur's favorite knight, Lancelot. This makes for a well-known story going into the show, but also sets up the audience for spectacular experience along the way.

BWW Reviews: CAMELOT Enchants Patrons

From the moment the curtain goes up, you realize this is a much hipper staging of Lerner and Loewe's CAMELOT than you may have seen before. No, they aren't setting it in modern times, it just has a grittier look to it. CAMELOT met all of my standards and expectations.

BWW Reviews: Enchanted Objects Come Alive in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at Wolf Trap

In 1994, the newly formed Disney Theatrical Group opened Disney's Beauty and The Beast on Broadway at the Palace Theater and became the eighth longest running Broadway show, when it ultimately closed in 2007. Since its inception, this 'tale as old as time' has played everywhere from elementary schools to international opera houses. Now at Wolf Trap, the NETworks Presentations, LLC touring company is playing through Sunday on their final leg of their national tour before taking the summer off.
