The cast for the World Premiere of Stephen Ward, directed by Richard Eyre, will comprise Alexander Hanson as Stephen Ward, Charlotte Spencer as Christine Keeler, Charlotte Blackledge as Mandy Rice Davies, Anthony Calfas Lord Astor, Daniel Flynn as John Profumo, Joanna Riding as Valerie Hobson, Ian Conningham as Ivanov, Chris Howell as Murray, Ricardo Coke Thomas as Lucky Gordon and Wayne Robinson as Johnny Edgecomp. Fiddlehead Theatre Company has announced its 2013-2014 season, the premiere season as Resident Theatre Company at Boston's Historic Strand Theatre (543 Columbia Road, Dorchester, MA). Today in 2000, Aida opened at the Palace Theatre, where it ran for 1852 performances. Aida is a musical with music by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton, Robert Falls, and David Henry Hwang. Aida was nominated for five Tony Awards and won four Tony Awards in 2000, including Best Musical Score and Best Performance by a Leading Actress. Aida was also named by Time Magazine in 2000 as one of the top ten theatre productions of the year. The First National tour was nominated for nine National Broadway Theatre awards (now 'Touring Broadway Awards') and won five awards, including Best Musical, Best Direction, Best Actor, and Best Actress.

Fresh from the hit television series STEPS: On The Road Again, and a subsequent arena tour, Ian 'H' Watkins will be reprising the character he first played in London's West End in 2005.

The Actors Fund, a national human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment, is pleased to announce that the producer, cast, and management of Disney's THE LION KING have added a special performance to benefit The Fund today, August 22 at 1:00pm at The Belk Theater in Charlotte, NC. The Acting Company will donate their time and talent for this performance that will directly benefit The Actors Fund.

JOSEPH AND THE TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT will play at DPAC for a limited engagement from May 13 through 18 as part of the SunTrust Broadway at DPAC, 2013 /2014 Season. Tickets for the show will go on sale on Friday, September 13 at noon.

Nine of the Fox Theatre's 2013-2014 U.S. Bank Broadway Series shows will go on sale Saturday, September 7 at 10am. From 10am to 2pm, the public is invited to view the newly restored auditorium ceiling and to enjoy free tours of the theatre.

The Independent Presenters Network has announced that Broadway and television star Diana DeGarmo and Broadway star Ace Young will head up the cast of the new touring production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. The new tour will launch at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, OH, on March 4, 2014 with a stop scheduled in St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre April 29 - May 11.
