New play incubator Brooklyn Yard returns with Austin Exchange featuring East Coast premieres of two fiercely funny two-woman plays by Hannah Kenah, Jenny Larson, and Diana Lynn Small.
The final two shows in the Royal Court Theatre's 60th year were announced today: pre-industrial England-set THE SEWING GROUP by E V Crowe, directed by Stewart Laing in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs, 10 November-22 December; and THE CHILDREN by Lucy Kirkwood, directed by James Macdonald in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, 17 November-14 January 2017.
London Writers' Week has announced new partnerships with BBC Writersroom, Tamasha Theatre Company and Playwrights' Studio, Scotland. The National Theatre of Great Britain's North American wing (Tim Levy, Producer) in collaboration with Scott Morfee, Jean Doumanian, Tom Wirtshafter, and Patrick Daly have announced the North American premiere of playwright Lucy Prebble's award-winning new play The Effect. With direction by David Cromer, the entirely American production of The Effect will open at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street at 7th Avenue) in March 2016.
