Gate Theatre Announes Cast for I CALL MY BROTHERS

Artistic Director of Gate Theatre Christopher Haydon today announces the full cast for Jonas Hassen Khemiri's I Call My Brothers, the final production in its Too Close To Home season. Tinuke Craig, former Associate Director at the Gate, returns to direct Nadia Albina,Lanna Joffrey, Jonas Khan and Richard Sumitro in the production which opens on 14 November, with previews from 10 November, running until 3 December.

The National Theatre Announces Updated Casting for PETER PAN

Devised by the Companies, based on the works of JM Barrie Previews from 16 November, Press Night 23 November, final performance 4 February.  Sophie Thompson has had to withdraw from the cast of Peter Pan, the National Theatre's Christmas show, due to a broken wrist. Anna Francolini, last seen at the NT in wonder.land, will take over the role of Captain Hook/ Mrs Darling. The NT is delighted that Anna was available to step into the role, and wishes Sophie a speedy recovery.

Seattle's Khambatta Dance Company Celebrates the Winter Holiday Season with CONSTELLATIONS

Khambatta Dance Company (KDC), the producers of the Seattle International Dance Festival, celebrates the winter holiday season with two performances of Constellations at Capitol Hill's Broadway Performance Hall December 9-10 at8pm. True to the KDC mission offering a global perspective on dance, audiences will take a trip around the world with winter-themed contemporary works inspired by Korean folktales, the earth's rotation amongst celestial bodies, and the impact humans have on one another. Artistic Director Cyrus Khambatta has put together a dance concert featuring pieces inspired by world perspectives; different pieces will be presented on each night.  

DanceWorks Presents Yvonne Ng's Tiger Princess Dance Projects, IN SEARCH OF THE HOLY CHOP SUEY And ZHONG XIN, 11/24-11/26

DanceWorks, Toronto's longest running contemporary dance series, proudly presents Toronto's tiger princess dance projects(tpdp) with an evening of two world premieres, each exploring identity in different ways. Choreographed by acclaimed tpdp artistic director Yvonne Ng, her solo In Search of the Holy Chop Suey and her work for a trio, Zhong Xin, run as a compelling double bill Thursday, November 24 through Saturday, November 26 at 8pm at Harbourfront Centre Theatre as part of the NextSteps series. Tickets are now on sale.

Full Cast Announced for Buckland Theatre's LUV

Today, Buckland Theatre Company has announced casting for LUV, the company's second production at PARK90 at Park Theatre. Directed by Gary Condes, Nick Barber will play Milt, Elsie Bennett will play Ellen and Charles Dorfman will play Harry. Written by Murray Schisgal (best known for co-writing the screenplay for Tootsie), LUV premiered on Broadway in 1964 directed by Mike Nichols and was Tony nominated for Best Play and Best Author. LUV will play at PARK90 from 8 Decemberuntil 7 January with an official press night on 13 December.

Theatre Exile Kicks Off 20th Anniversary Season with GUARDS AT THE TAJ by Rajiv Joseph

Based on dark myths surrounding the building of the Taj Mahal, this bold and surprising comedy is the story of two hapless guards that ultimately learn the ugly truth about one of the most beautiful wonders of the world. When asked to perform an unthinkable task, the pair struggle between loyalty, friendship and staying true to one's self.

PLENTY, Starring Rachel Weisz, Extends Again at The Public

The Public Theater has announced a final extension today for the first major New York revival of PLENTY, written by David Hare. Directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux, the show began performances on Tuesday, November 4 and was originally extended through Sunday, November 20. It will now run through Thursday, December 1, with an official press opening Sunday, October 23.
