Photo Flash: SIGH Performs in Rome
Created by and with Tian Mansha. Originally commissioned by Berlin's House of World Cultures, Qing Tan ( Sigh) is a one-woman opera performed by the Chinese actress Tian Mansha, and tells three individual stories based upon the lives of three generations of artistic women. Mansha, who is also a director and teacher at the Opera Academy in Sichuan as well as a teacher at the Theatre Academy in Shanghai, has twice won China's highest accolade for drama, the Plum Blossom Prize.
