Tony Maudsley (ITV1's Benidorm) will play Edna Turnblad in the major 40-week UK tour of Hairspray which will open at Curve theatre in Leicester this autumn. He will be joined by TV and stage actress and presenter Claire Sweeney (Educating Rita, Guys and Dolls) as Velma Von Tussle, Olivier Award nominated actor and much-loved Blue Peter presenter Peter Duncan (BBC1 Tumble) as Wilbur Turnblad and British singer and West End performer Brenda Edwards (Chicago, We Will Rock You, The X Factor) as Motormouth Maybelle. Freya Sutton will reprise the role of Tracy Turnblad alongside established musical theatre performer Jon Tsouras (A Chorus Line) who will play the role of Corny Collins. Dex Lee (The Scottsboro Boys) will play Seaweed, Ashley Gilmour (Miss Saigon) will play Link Larkin, Lauren Stroud (Wicked) will play Amber, Monique Young (Top Hat) will play Penny, Karis Jack (Urinetown) will play Little Inez, Adam Price (Hairspray) will play Male Authority Figure, Tracey Penn (Made in Dagenham) will play Female Authority Figure and Layton Williams (Bad Education, Billy Elliot) will play Duane. Further casting will be announced in due course.

Audiences will see this new physical incarnation of the iconic Tony Award®-winning show, which is being directed for the 19th time by the show's original lyricist and director Martin Charnin. ANNIE has a book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and Charnin's award-winning lyrics. All three authors received 1977 Tony Awards for their work. Choreography is by Liza Gennaro, who has incorporated selections from her father Peter Gennaro's 1977 Tony Award-winning choreography.

Ben Forster, Kimberley Walsh, Joe McGann and Jessica Martin will star in the London premiere of ELF the smash hit musical at the Dominion Theatre from 24 October 2015 for a strictly limited 10-week season, ending on 2 January 2016, with a press night on Thursday 5 November.
According to the Daily Mail, Kimberley Walsh, who started out as a member of the group Girls Aloud, has joined the cast of ELF at the Dominion. Walsh made her West End debut as 'Princess Fiona' in SHREK THE MUSICAL in 2012.

Opening up about her experiences participating in the big screen edition of the Sondheim classic, Crawford offers insight into her iconic character of Little Red Riding Hood and sheds light on the filmmaking process with director Rob Marshall as well as comments on sharing the screen with such Hollywood heavyweights as Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep. Additionally, Crawford illuminates her time spent headlining the most recent Broadway revival of ever-popular Charles Strouse/Martin Charnin/Thomas Meehan musical ANNIE as well as working with recognizable Miss Hannigans two-time Tony-winner Katie Finneran and GLEE's Jane Lynch, as well as recounts her experiences meeting the star of the big screen ANNIE remake, Quvenzhane Wallis, and her own thoughts on the updated film remake.
