Ars Nova, under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director Jason Eagan and Managing Director Renee Blinkwolt, has announced 18 months of boundary-pushing world premiere productions, all commissioned and developed by Ars Nova at their West 54th Street home.

The Public Theater presents TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS, based on the acclaimed book by best-selling author Cheryl Strayed and adapted for the stage by Academy Award-nominated writer Nia Vardalos, with direction by Thomas Kail. This richly funny, uplifting new show is co-conceived by Marshall Heyman, Thomas Kail, and Nia Vardalos and will also feature Vardalos as the anonymous online advice columnist 'Sugar.'

On Monday, November 14, the Theater People podcast welcome's Tony nominee Brandon Uranowitz. He made his Broadway debut in 2011's BABY IT'S YOU. He earned a Tony nomination for his turn as Adam Hochberg in last year's AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, and he can currently be seen in the role of Mendel in William Finn and James Lapine's critically acclaimed revival of FALSETTOS. For the episode, Uranowitz discusses the six months of auditions he went through to win the role of Mendel, how James Lapine was lovingly hard on him during the show's rehearsal process, and shares a memory of accompanying Katie Holmes on a shopping spree during his pre-Broadway days when he worked as a sales associate.

Lin-Manuel Miranda announced on Twitter today that he will be appearing on tomorrow's episode of Ellen. Posting a picture holding up the script for the show, the composer has not yet revealed what his appearance will hold, but promises that it will be a 'doozy.' See the original tweet below:

#EduHam is a series of HAMILTON Wednesday matinees made available to New York City schools with a high concentration of students from low-income families for the ticket price of only $10. This educational partnership, made possible through a $1.46 million grant by The Rockefeller Foundation, is not only providing 20,000 NYC public school students with the opportunity to see HAMILTON on Broadway, but provides educational material by Gilder Lehrman to incorporate material from the musical into the American History curriculum. On Monday, Theater People podcast welcome's HAMILTON'S Mandy Gonzalez. She made her Broadway debut in 2000 in AIDA as the Amnneris standby. She eventually took the role over full-time. She went on to originate roles in DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES and LENNON before winning her breakout role as Nina in Lin-Manuel Miranda's IN THE HEIGHTS, a role she originated in the show's pre-Off Broadway days. She went on to take over the role of Elphaba in WICKED and can now be seen eight times a week in the hottest show on Broadway, HAMILTON.

On today's digital #Ham4Ham, Hamilton's biographer himself, Ron Chernow, donned a revolutionary costume and performed a portion of the hit musical's opening number in tribute to HAMILTON creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Pulitzer Prize that he won for the production. Check out the cover below!

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the Tony Award-winning director of 'Hamilton', Thomas Kail, and rap superstar, Ice Cube are teaming up with Disney for a modern musical remake on Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist

As BroadwayWorld reported last week, actor and Hollywood Records recording artist, Jordan Fisher will make his Broadway debut in Hamilton when he begins performances as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton on Tuesday, November 22.

Just last night, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDC Foundation) celebrated the 27th Annual Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. As previously announced, HAMILTON, the critically acclaimed and multi-award winning Broadway musical will open at the end of 2017 at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London which is currently undergoing an extensive multi-million-pound refurbishment. The producers are delighted to be able to confirm that tickets for the London production of HAMILTON, will go on sale in January 2017. Previews commence in November 2017. Full details of prices, booking information and performance schedule will be announced in January 2017.
