Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! welcomes new 'Dynamos' Mary Callanan and Alison Ewing to the Broadway cast as 'Rosie' and 'Tanya', beginning performances this evening, February 2, 2015 at The Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44 Street).

'When Black Boys Die,' written and directed by William Electric Black, is a new drama about a teenage girl's journey as she tries to understand the madness of gun violence that has killed her brother and consumed her mother (and so many other mothers who have also lost their sons to inner city violence). It is the second in a series of five plays by William Electric Black, to be collectively called 'GUNPLAYS,' that address inner city violence and guns. Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave (East Village), will present the work March 5 to 22, directed by the author.

The Zephyr Theater presents the world premiere of Finding Nick, a new play written and performed by Nicholas Guest, and directed by Lee Sankowich, in a six-week engagement beginning February 19, through March 27, on Thursday and Friday nights at 8 p.m. in Hollywood, produced by Racquel Lehrman and Victoria Watson of Theatre Planners.

Abingdon Theatre Company -- which has produced 83 new American plays since 1993 -- continues its 22nd Season with A HAPPY END, a new play by Iddo Netanyahu, with previews set to begin February 27, 2015, prior to an official press opening March 11 in Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Off-Broadway performances run through March 29. Alex Dmitriev (God's Daughter) is set to direct.

Chris Isaacson Presents and Upright Cabaret have announced that native Angeleno and Broadway star Mandy Gonzalez will welcome the new year by coming home to make her Los Angeles solo concert debut. Directed by Eric Michael Gillett with musical direction by Brian J. Nash, there will be two shows: Tonight, January 27, and Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 8:30pm at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood.

The audience sits on either side of a shared backyard flanked by two houses. At first glance structurally identical, closer examination revels distinct differences. One house has a clean patio set, new curtains, and a well-tended window box of flowers. The other shows obvious signs of neglect: peeling paint, dead grass, a rusty charcoal grill tucked away in a corner.

The Whipping Man by Matthew Lopez opens tonight, January 23, 2015 at George Street Playhouse. The production runs through February 15, 2015 Directed by Seret Scott, the cast features Ron Canada, Luke Forbes and Adam Gerber.

Manhattan Theatre Club is pleased to announce the New York premiere of Of Good Stock, the new play by Melissa Ross (Thinner Than Water, Too Much Too Soon), directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow (The Assembled Parties, Wit, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife). The limited engagement of Of Good Stock will begin previews Tuesday, June 2 and open Tuesday, June 23 at MTC at New York City Center -- Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

59E59 Theaters and Prospect Theater Company announce cast for the NYC premiere LONG STORY SHORT, adapted from David Schulner's play An Infinite Ache by Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vigoda, and directed by Kent Nicholson. LONG STORY SHORT begins performances on February 28 for a limited engagement through March 29. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM, Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM and 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Please note the following schedule adjustments: there are no matinee performances on Saturday, February 28 and Saturday, March 7; the performance on Sunday, March 1 is at 7:15 PM only. Desert Theatreworks, a nonprofit theatre company in Palm Desert, has served up a delectable production of Neil Simon's LOST IN YONKERS, at the Joslyn Center's Arthur Newman Theatre. Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities Series will present "The Lightning Thief," a new musical about mythological monsters based on the popular book series by Rick Riordan, on Sunday, February 8, at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Produced by Theatreworks USA , the show is recommended for ages 7 to 12. Women's Project Theater, under the leadership of newly-appointed Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty, is pleased to present the World Premiere of BRIGHT HALF LIFE - a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist Tanya Barfield and directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman - in a five-week limited engagement at New York City Center Stage II (131 W. 55th Street) from Tuesday, February 17 to March 22, 2015.
