The second annual San Diego Theatre Week is gearing up to take place on stages across San Diego county from Sunday, February 26 - Sunday, March 5, 2017. Participating performing arts groups will be offering a variety of special promotions for audience members. Offers include ticket discounts, special events and cast talk-backs. The mission of San Diego Theatre Week is to highlight the variety and enhance the awareness of San Diego's diverse performing arts community.

Folger Theatre continues its celebrated 25th anniversary season with As You Like It, one of Shakespeare's most beloved comedies. Directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, this classic tale filled with love, laughter, and mistaken identity features original songs composed by Heather Christian and dances by Alexandra Beller. The Geffen Playhouse today announced that Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time, Big Love) will make her Los Angeles stage debut as Marianne in Constellations. The play, which was a critical hit when it opened on Broadway in 2015, is written by Nick Payne and directed by Giovanna Sardelli (Geffen Playhouse's Guards at the Taj).

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is pleased to announce the first show in its third season of Theater for Young Audiences… The Little Prince. Written by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar, based on the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and directed by Darryl B. On the eve of the Presidential Inauguration, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will join with others in the theatre community - from Broadway to regional theatres to high schools and colleges, and community theatres - at 5:30pm, Today, January 19, 2017 to participate in The Ghostlight Project. Two continents, two cultures, two estranged sisters, and two cousins determined to bridge the gap between them, are all boldly calligraphed in this free-wheeling work set in Los Angeles and Tokyo, past and present. East and West collide as Japanese free-spirit Sayuri and biracial American Hiromi care for their feuding mothers, whom they gamely hope to reunite before it is too late.
