Katrina Lenk, Richard Topol, Lenny Wolpe and More to Star in Yale Rep's INDECENT World Premiere

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2015-16 season with the world premiere of INDECENT, a new play with music, written by Paula Vogel, created by Paula Vogel and Rebecca Taichman, and directed by Rebecca Taichman, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), October 2-24. Opening Night is Thursday, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.

Julie Taymor's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM to Screen at Capitol Center for the Arts, 10/14

The Capitol Center for the Arts is proud to play host to a broadcast of Ealing Studios and Omniverse Vision's presentation of Julie Taymor's critically acclaimed stage version of Shakespeare's iconic comedy, 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' on Wednesday, October 14, at 6pm. RSC's THE MERCHANT OF VENICE Screens Tonight at Folger Theatre

The Folger Shakespeare Library continues its collaboration with Picturehouse Entertainment to bring the Royal Shakespeare Company from Shakespeare's hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon to Washington, D.C. with a screening of THE MERCHANT OF VENICE tonight, September 12th at 7:00pm.

Haydn Gwynne, Stephen Bogardus, Lauren Molina and More Lead A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, Beginning Tonight at Huntington

The Huntington Theatre Company opens its 2015-2016 season with the Tony Award-winning musical A Little Night Music, Stephen Sondheim's most romantic and popular work, led by Tony and Olivier nominee Haydn Gwynne, as well as Broadway's Stephen Bogardus and Lauren Molina. Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois (after all the terrible things I do; Smart People; Rapture, Blister, Burn; and Becky Shaw) will direct. Performances will run tonight, September 11, through October 11, 2015 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre.

Bill Camp, Jim Norton, Tavi Gevinson and More Join Broadway's THE CRUCIBLE; Full Cast, Theater Set!

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Bill Camp (as Reverend John Hale), Jim Norton (as Giles Corey), Tavi Gevinson (as Mary Warren), and Jason Butler Harner (as Reverend Samuel Parris) are among those who will join previously announced stars Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth).

Huntington Theatre Company Sets A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC Special Events

In conjunction with its upcoming production of A Little Night Music, the Huntington Theatre Company will host a number of special events and post-show conversations. Admission to onsite post-show events is free with a ticket to A Little Night Music, available at huntingtontheatre.org/night-music/ by phone at 617 266 0800, or in person at the BU Theatre (264 Huntington Avenue) and Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA (527 Tremont Street) box offices. Tickets start at $25. Performances begin Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre.

TEXTS&BEHEADINGS to Receive World Premiere at The Folger

Folger Theatre starts the 2015/16 season with a limited engagement of texts&beheadings/ElizabethR, a world premiere play which explores England's Queen Elizabeth I.  Produced in conjunction with the international theater collective Compagnia de' Colombari, the play is created and directed by Karin Coonrod (Henry VI at the Public Theater and Julius Caesar at Theatre for A New Audience) and will be presented as a part of Washington, D.C.'s city-wide Women's Voices Theater Festival. texts&beheadings/ElizabethR is on stage at Folger Theatre for 16 performances, September 19 - October 4, 2015.

Shakespeare & Company presented the first full American production of Red Velvet, written by Lolita Chakrabarti, directed by Daniela Varon, and starring OBIE Award-winning actor John Douglas Thompson last night and Broadwayworld's Stephen Sorokoff was there. Cast Announced for Lyric Stage's MY FAIR LADY

Now, director Scott Edmiston will re-fashion My Fair Lady, the delightful story of a down-on-her- luck London flower girl taken on as an 'experiment' by a chauvinistic speech therapist, into another Lyric Stage winner. Based on George Bernard Shaw's beloved play Pygmalion, My Fair Lady introduced the world to a treasure trove of classic tunes including 'I Could Have Danced All Night,' 'On the Street Where You Live,' 'The Rain in Spain,' and 'I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face.'

Christopher Shinn's AN OPENING IN TIME to Premiere at Hartford Stage This Fall

Hartford Stage presents the world premiere of An Opening in Time by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Connecticut native Christopher Shinn, with direction by Oliver Butler of The Debate Society, from September 17 through October 11, 2015. An Opening in Time's central Connecticut setting is inspired by Shinn's hometown of Wethersfield.
