Johanna Allen's THE SONGS THAT GOT AWAY to Play Sydney, Adelaide, June 2014

Harold Arlen wrote over 400 songs from 1926 - 1974. His music was made famous by Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and the iconic Judy Garland. Vocal powerhouse Johanna Allen showcases a catalogue of his most well known music: The Man that got Away, Blues in the Night, Get Happy, One for my baby, The Old Black Magic, Down With Love, Paper Moon, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and entwines stories from the women who loved him and the words of his other great musical work 'The Wizard of Oz'.

Official: Jane Horrocks & Khan Din to Lead EAST IS EAST at Trafalgar Transformed, Begin. 4 October

Award-winning playwright Ayub Khan Din's first play, East is East, which premiered at the Royal Court and was later turned into a much-loved feature film, returns to the London stage after 17 years. This hilarious and ever-pertinent modern classic about growing up in multiracial England will star the multi award-winning stage and screen actress Jane Horrocks (Young Vic's Annie Get Your Gun,Sunshine on Leith, The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice, Absolutely Fabulous) as Ella Khan, one of the greatest female roles written for modern theatre.

It's Official! Hugh Jackman, Laura Donnelly, Cush Jumbo Set for Jez Butterworth's THE RIVER at Circle in the Square This Fall

We've been reporting on the buzz since January, but now Hugh Jackman is making Broadway fan's May dreams come true! It's just been officially announced that Sonia Friedman Productions will present the Royal Court Theatre production of THE RIVER, a new play by Jez Butterworth, starring Hugh Jackman, Laura Donnelly and Cush Jumbo, and directed by Ian Rickson.

Noor Theatre Opens THE MYTH PROJECT Tonight

Noor Theatre Artistic Director Lameece Issaq, Executive Director Maha Chehlaoui, and Producing Artistic Director Nancy Vitale announce the world premiere of The Myth Project. This director-driven workshop production in three parts from Director/Writers Kareem Fahmy, Noelle Ghoussaini, and Pirronne Yousefzadeh, will run from tonight, May 1 - Sunday, May 4 at New York Theatre Workshop's 4th Street Theatre.

Helen Hobson, Jerome Pradon & More to Lead PICTURE PERFECT at St. James Studio, 31 May - 1 June

Picture Perfect: A New Musical, a contemporary song-cycle musical that explores love and relationships using the songs of award-winning American composer Scott Evan Davis, conceived and directed by Simon Greiff, will get its London premiere at the St James Studio with four performances on Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June. Yale Rep Stages World Premiere of THE HOUSE THAT WILL NOT STAND, Now thru 5/10

Yale Repertory Theatre, in a co-production with Berkeley Repertory Theatre, presents the world premiere of The House that will not Stand by Marcus Gardley, directed by Patricia McGregor. The House that will not Stand will be performed at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street) today, April 18-May 10. Opening Night is Thursday, April 24.

Gravity Partners to Present THE PICTURE (OF DORIAN GRAY), Begin. 5/15

The Gravity Partners presents The Picture (of Dorian Gray), a new play adapted from the Oscar Wilde classic by Neal Utterback with original music by Gabriel Gould. Neal Utterback will direct a cast of five, including Jessica Denison, Andrew Kilpatrick, Jamison Monella, Alyssa Newberg, and Phil Oberholzer. Six performances will be staged from May 15-23 at The Paradise Factory, 64 East 4th Street in NYC as part of the 6th Annual Planet Connection Festivity, which runs from May 14-June 8, 2014.

Metropolitan Ballet Academy Student Dancers Score Honors at Youth America Grand Prix 2014

Metropolitan Ballet Academy (MBA) student dancers from the Philadelphia region garnered significant honors in the 2014 Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), the world's largest international student ballet scholarship competition. Young dancers from the Jenkintown-based pre-professional ballet studio captured top awards at the Regional Semi-Finals held this winter in Philadelphia, PA and Providence, RI.

TCG Books Publishes Amy Herzog's THE GREAT GOD PAN

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) has announced the publication of The Great God Pan by Amy Herzog, "one of the brightest new talents in the theatre" (New York Times). Known for delicately detailed character studies that subtly balance humor and insight, Amy Herzog is the Obie Award-winning author of 4000 Miles. Her newest published work, The Great God Pan was commissioned by Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago and received its world premiere at Playwrights Horizons in New York City in 2012.

10 Hairy Legs to Perform at Crossroad Theatre, 5/4

Randy James' all male dance company, 10 Hairy Legs, appears at Crossroads Theatre, New Brunswick on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 3:00 pm for its final New Jersey performance of its 2013-2014 season. The performance features all ten of the company members. The company is now double our size since our founding in 2012.
