Entertainment legend Les Dennis will join the new production of Hairspray the Musical which is set to play a limited season at the London Coliseum from Monday 21st June – Wednesday 29th September 2021.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's West End production of Matilda The Musical has announced that it will return to the Cambridge Theatre from 16 September 2021. Seen by more than 10 million people across more than 90 cities worldwide, this autumn marks 10 years since the multi-award-winning show opened in the West End.

Today the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has announced the appointment of Shriti Vadera as the new Chair of the RSC. 

On 4 and 10 June 2021, Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts the final concerts of his pioneering 13-year tenure as Principal Conductor & Artistic Advisor of the Philharmonia Orchestra, at the end of a season disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Theatre Royal Bath Productions and Jonathan Church Productions' critically acclaimed production of David Mamet's highly provocative drama Oleanna, directed by Lucy Bailey, will tour the UK this Summer from 8 June, visiting Cambridge, Bath, Southampton and Malvern, before transferring to the West End's Arts Theatre, London from 21 July to 23 October 2021.

EDUCATING RITA tells the story of married hairdresser Rita, who enrols on an Open University course to expand her horizons, and her encounters with university tutor Frank. Frank is a frustrated poet, brilliant academic and dedicated drinker, who is less than enthusiastic about teaching Rita.

Simon Russell Beale will play JS Bach in the world premiere of Nina Raine's Bach & Sons, directed by Nicholas Hytner.  Performances at The Bridge are from 23 June – 9 September 2021 with opening night on 29 June 2021. 

She Loves You will have its world premiere in March 2022 at the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, starring Danish singer and actress Maria Lucia (The Beauty and the Beast, The Sound of Music on stage and the Danish film dubbing of Disney's Frozen) leading a cast of 24 musical performers. This production with Danish dialogue and English-language songs, will transfer to the Musikhuset in Aarhus before launching a Scandinavian tour of Sweden, Norway and Iceland, with several worldwide productions still in the pipeline.

For its third installment of the 2021 Spring Puppet Forum Series, the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut will host “Working on Race and Ethnicity in Puppetry” with curator Dr. Jungmin Song and Ballard Institute Director John Bell on April 8 at 7 p.m. ET.

Lindsey Milligan has been appointed a new Partner to Savages Personal Management. A native of Glasgow who has lived in London for over 10 years, Lindsey established herself at a young age in her association with the Citizen's Theatre. She has a BA in Stage Management and Theatre Production from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.

The Actors' Gang Theater announces a new Axis Mundi evening as part of its digital season: Axis Mundi – In Conversation with Tim Robbins and theatrical legend and visionary director, Peter Brook. The free event, produced in partnership with Fundación Teatro a Mill, will be translated into French and Spanish and will be streamed Thursday, March 25th at 7 pm PST through Zoom and Facebook Live. The live translation is only available through Zoom.

The Marlowe in Canterbury has announced that Maria Aberg's PROJEKT EUROPA will become a Resident Company at the theatre, creating and premiering work in the heart of Kent.

With the one-year anniversary of theatres being forced to close in sight, the Royal Shakespeare Company has announced that audiences will now get the chance to see The Winter’s Tale and The Comedy of Errors, two of its postponed 2020 major Shakespeare productions.
