STAGES St. Louis Extends ALWAYS... PATSY CLINE

STAGES St. Louis has announced that the box office sensation, Always... Patsy Cline at The Playhouse at Westport Plaza will continue September 18th to October 12th. The theatre company's momentous production of Always... Patsy Cline will play five performances per week Thursday through Sunday, following a brief two week hiatus. Always... Patsy Cline was originally produced by STAGES during its record-breaking 27th Season, which resulted in two added performances and historic attendance. Nightly, the audiences stopped the show with thunderous applause for numbers like 'Crazy,' 'Lovesick Blues,' and 'Your Cheating Heart.'

ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS to Open The Rep's 48th Season, 9/10-10/5

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis presents the wildly funny and witty play One Man, Two Guvnors by Richard Bean and directed by Edward Stern. This entertaining and innovative take on the classic farce The Servant of Two Masters by playwright Carlo Goldoni with songs by Grant Olding will be performed on the Browning Mainstage of the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road (on the campus of Webster University), Webster Groves, September 10-October 5, 2014.

STAGES St. Louis Adds 9/28 Performance of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

STAGES St. Louis has announced the opening of the timeless Tony Award winning musical Fiddler on the Roof. The treasured tale of family and tradition will play at the Robert G. Reim Theatre in Kirkwood, September 5th through October 5th . Due to an unprecedented advance in sales, STAGES has added a performance to the original schedule on Sunday, September 28 at 7:30 pm.

A Contemporary Theatre to Stage West Coast Premiere of Ayad Akhtar's THE INVISIBLE HAND

A Contemporary Theatre announces the west coast premiere of writer/actor Ayad Akhtar's The Invisible Hand, about an American investor kidnapped by a militant group in Pakistan. Akhtar won the Pulitzer Prize in 2013 for his play Disgraced, which opens on Broadway this fall. The Invisible Hand premiered at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis studio series in 2012. Since then, Akhtar has continued development on the script, added a character, and he will participate in the creative process as the show develops in Seattle, spending time in the rehearsal room and audience preview process.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) and The Rep's A-Team invite patrons to a special season kick-off with great food, lively entertainment and opportunities to explore the season, make subscription and single ticket purchases and register to win special prizes. The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Bright Star, a new American musical featuring music by Edie Brickell and Steve Martin, lyrics by Brickell, and book by Martin, based on an original story by Martin and Brickell. Directed by Walter Bobbie, Bright Star will run September 13 - November 2, 2014 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run September 13 - September 27. Opening night is Sunday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. Single tickets go on sale on Friday, August 8 at noon.

As one of the largest theatrical events in the world, The New York International Fringe Festival boasts an impressive roster of world premieres yearly. Of them, Los Angeles native Joshua Metzger's new play Sitting Shiva will see its first three dimensional presentation this August. Christopher Scott will direct the 90 minute play. The Broadway and Regional vet cast includes Eddie Boroevich*, Neal Mayer*, and Jeffery Plunkett*. The Production Stage Manager is Katy Moore*, and the production will be designed by Joan Racho-Jansen. *Appearing courtesy of Actors' Equity Association. Sitting Shiva is an AEA-approved showcase.

STAGES St. Louis will team up with Ballpark Village for the first time with a FREE, lunchtime concert at The Barn at PBR located inside Ballpark Village Thursday, June 5 at 12:30PM. This exclusive event will feature Jacqueline Petroccia (Patsy Cline) from STAGES' smash hit production, Always...Patsy Cline, now playing at The Playhouse at Westport Plaza. Petroccia will be singing several of Patsy Cline's favorites, including 'I Fall to Pieces' and 'Your Cheating Heart' along with more contemporary Country tunes. Co-star Zoe Vonder Haar (Louise Seger) will emcee the event with musical supervision by Lisa Campbell Albert.
