The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced a second two-week extension for the critically acclaimed world premiere of Elevator Repair Service's ARGUENDO, directed by John Collins. ARGUENDO began performances on Tuesday, September 10, and was originally extended through October 13. The show officially opened on Tuesday, September 24, and will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, October 27.

They've got the beat, and soon they'll be bringing it to Broadway! According to Showbiz411 reports, Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow will be co-producing a Broadway musical based on the music of 80's rock band The GoGo's.

California Shakespeare Theater has announced it will conclude its 2013 season with one of Shakespeare's rarely-performed gems, A Winter's Tale. Directed by Patricia McGregor and choreographed by Paloma McGregor, the sister team responsible for last season's critical and popular hit, Spunk, A Winter's Tale plays at the Bruns Amphitheater from tonight, September 25 through October 20.

The Public Theater previously announced that, for the first and only time, Sting will perform songs from his new album, The Last Ship, for 10 concerts to benefit The Public Theater in their intimate, 260-seat Anspacher Theater from tonight, September 25 - October 9. An evening of music and storytelling with one of the world's most prolific artists, these performances will offer unique insight into the creative process of both his new album, released yesterday, September 24, and his forthcoming play of the same name, premiering in 2014. All proceeds benefit The Public Theater and are tax deductible.

The Model Apartment runs through November 1 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. Opening night is Tuesday, October 15 at 7PM.

Dr. Barbara Ann Teers's National Black Theatre (NBT) will open its 45th Season with the New York Premiere of The Last Saint On Sugar Hill, written by Keith Josef Adkins and directed by Seret Scottannounced NBT's Director of Theatre Arts Program, Jonathan McCrory. Preview performances begin Tuesday, October 29th at NBT, 2031 Fifth Avenue starting at 7:30pm. The opening night is set for Friday, November 1st at 7pm. The Show Goes On Productions presents To Carry On… a Tribute to the Life and Music of Laura Nyro written and performed by Mimi Cohen. Gretchen Cryer directs and Jeffrey Klitz music directs. The production opens on Ms. Nyro's 66th birthday, Friday, October 18th, and runs for six performances beginning Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 27, 2013, at The TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor in NYC.

Cohen and direction by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell).
