Broadway Dinner Theatre to Kick Off 2011 with THE DROWSY CHAPERONE

As the 2011 Season is fast approaching, The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre has announced that it will add yet another regional premiere to its list of theatrical credits. Opening the theater's 17th Anniversary Season will be the over-the-top musical comedy The Drowsy Chaperone, opening January 21st.

Children's Theatre Presents IF YOU TAKE A MOUSE TO SCHOOL, 2/4-26

This February, Children's Theatre of Charlotte presents a month full of performances for families. From Feb. 4-20, the Tarradiddle Players perform 'If You Take a Mouse to School,' adapted from the popular picture book by Laura Numeroff, in the Wachovia Playhouse. And from Feb. 25-26, the master drummers and dancers of Djembe Fire! bring the rhythms of Africa to the McColl Family Theatre.

The Obie Award-winning New Paradise Laboratories and The Riot Group present the New York Premiere of Freedom Club, written by Adriano Shaplin and directed by Whit MacLaughlin. Freedom Club runs from January 6 - 15, 2011, as part of the APAP Conference 2011, at the Connelly Theater, located at 220 East 4th Street between Avenues A and B in NYC.

Performance Network Theatre Features LaRon Williams, 1/22

Performance Network Theatre's previously announced January 22nd presentation of 'Imagine That!' will now feature acclaimed storyteller LaRon Williams, beginning at 1pm. This all-ages show, part of the Children's Theatre Network's Saturday Series for Young Audiences, will be followed by a milk and cookies reception.

Performance Network Theatre Premieres THE WAR SINCE EVE 1/13-2/13

Performance Network Theatre announces it's production of 'The War Since Eve,' by Michigan playwright, Kim Carney. This World Premiere comedy will open in previews on January 13 and runs through February 13. 'Eve' is directed by PNT Artistic Director, David Wolber, and features Henrietta Hemelin, Sarab Kamoo ('Sonia Flew') and Leah Smith.

Theatre at the Center Announces Education Through Theatre Program, 1/24-3/15

Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, one of Chicago's top musical theaters, will host five exciting and educational workshops for the young theater enthusiasts of Chicagoland. These workshops will provide students of all ages with the environment to explore the world around them through theatre, to have fun with creative expression while building self-esteem, and to expand communication and creative problem solving skills. These winter 2011 classes will begin January 24 and run through March 15.

It Came From Mars receives National Award Nomination

Adding to the ever-growing list of awards and acclaim received by Joseph Zettelmaier's 'It Came from Mars' comes the announcement that the comedy has been nominated for the American Theatre Critics Association's annual ATCA/Steinberg New Play Award.

Christmas Follies Celebrates the Season at WOB

Without question, the most popular show of the season is The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's holiday production. More often then not, many of the scheduled performances sell out before the show even opens.
