BWW is thrilled to bring you a 'before and after' interview with Priscilla Queen of the Desert's Will Swenson. He took the time to talk to us before the show moved from NYC to Toronto, and then again right after it's smash-hit opening night. The show plays until January 2nd and then moves to its new home at The Palace Theatre in NYC where it will officially open on March 20th 2011. BWW has been bringing you exclusive coverage of the show as it begins its pre-Broadway run, and this weekend features interviews with the four leads.

Former JERSEY BOYS star Erich Bergen is certainly one busy guy. In support of his first soon-to-be released solo CD The Vegas Sessions, Bergen will be debuting his new club act at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, September 15. On top of that, he is currently in rehearsals for the new musical VENICE, which is set to open October 7 at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. Recently, Bergen chatted with BroadwayWorld's Michael Lawrence Quintos about the new album, his days on JERSEY BOYS, New York vs. L.A. theater, and the whereabouts of his Gossip Girl ascot.

The production of DAMN YANKEES playing at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport (LI), New York is a solid one. There are fine performances, inventive staging, colorful costumes and a jaunty score. However something very magical takes place half way through the second act: it is at this point that Broadway veteran André De Shields, who plays Mr. Applegate, sits in a chair, crosses his legs and launches into the song 'Those Were The Good Old Days'. It is the moment when the show is elevated into something extremely grand and memorable.

Back in the day, the great ladies of the theatre were known to provide their own dresses and gowns as they toured the provinces in contemporary dramas and comedies.  And while today's Off-Broadway productions generally have costume designers to handle such matters, at least one Obie-winner, Donna Lynne Champlin, is doing her part to keep that tradition alive in Transport Group's enchanting production of See Rock City & Other Destinations.  And as the newlywed actress explains, the gown she wears in the musical's final scene isn't the only item that had previously played a starring role in her wedding ceremony...

During a busy rehearsal schedule, Lorna Lable and Gayle Stahlhuth, artist director of the Equity professional East Lynne There Company, took a few minutes to talk about Emma Goldman and Lorna, herself. They were sitting in Madison Square Park, NYC, not too far from either of their apartments - a good place to meet.

Imagine being 22 years old; an aspiring actor who comes to New York with dreams of 'making it big' and having it actually happen two weeks later. Sound too good to be true? Not so, if A Little Night Music's Hunter Ryan Herdlicka is any example. Fresh out of Carnegie Mellon last year, Herdlicka quite literally stepped off of the proverbial boat and into one of the most high profile productions of the season, starring as 'Henrik Egerman' in Sondheim's Night Music alongside Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta-Jones, directed by Trevor Nunn.

The Tony Awards Nominations were announced Tuesday, May 4th and the Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 13, 2010. She currently stars as 'Peaches' in the latest national tour cycle of the multiple-Tony Award-winning musical HAIRSPRAY, which returns to the Orange County Performing Arts Center for a brief engagement from April 6 - 11. For Berry, HAIRSPRAY's week-long stop in Costa Mesa is expected to be an exciting homecoming.

'Trudeau Stories' is a heart-felt piece performed by Brooke Johnson, centering on her friendship with the former Prime Minister of Canada Pierre Elliott Trudeau. BWW had the chance to talk with Brooke about what the show means to her.
