Stage Left Studio Presents HOME IN HER HEART, Now thru 12/17

Margaret Morrison's HOME IN HER HEART will open at Stage Left Studio tonight, October 16 and run through December 17. The play with music originally opened last April as part of Cheryl King's 2012 Left Out Festival.

Clarinetist David Krakauer Plays FROM BRAHMS TO KLEZMER with Phoenix Chamber Ensemble Tonight, 10/11

Clarinetist David Krakauer, praised internationally for his astounding ability to play in a myriad of music genres, will give his only New York City concert this fall, featured with the Phoenix Chamber Ensemble (Kathe Jarka, cello; Vassa Shevel, piano; and Inessa Zaretsky, piano) in From Brahms to Klezmer tonight, October 11, 2012 at 7:30pm in the Concert Hall at the Center for Jewish History (15 West 16th Street, NYC), presented by CJH and the Leo Baeck Institute.

BLACK VIOLIN's Kev and Wil B Return to NYC for Run at New Victory Theater, 11/9-25

Virtuoso violinists Kev Marcus and Wilner Baptiste - aka Kev and Wil B of BLACK VIOLIN - return to New York with their funky fusion of classical, jazz, hip-hop, blues and R&B. With DJ TK on the turntables, Beatdown on the drums, and Joe Cello rounding out the band, these Apollo Legends, who played to sold-out New Vic houses in 2009, will perform a concert of new compositions, classic favorites and pop cover tunes at The New Victory Theater, 209 West 42nd Street, from November 9 through November 25.

Mama Foundation for the Arts Presents Back-to-Back Saturday Musical Matinees, Beg. Today, 10/6

Vy Higginsen's Mama Foundation for the Arts presents two musical matinees, Mama I Want To Sing: The Next Generation and Sing, Harlem, Sing!, every Saturday afternoon (performances resume today, October 6th, 2012) at The Dempsey Theater, located at 127 West 127th Street, between Lenox and 7th Avenues. Donna Walker-Kuhne Appointed NJPAC’s New Marketing Vice President

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center announced today that Donna Walker-Kuhne has joined its senior management staff as Vice President, Marketing. Acknowledged as the nation's "foremost expert on audience diversification" by the Arts & Business Council, Ms. Walker-Kuhne is an accomplished arts administrator and adult educator who has devoted her professional career to increasing the accessibility and connection to the arts by the nation's rapidly growing multicultural population.
