Closing Aurora Theatre Company's 17th season is the Bay Area Premiere of Bob Glaudini's (A View from 151st Street) Off-Broadway hit JACK GOES BOATING. Bay Area theater veteran Joy Carlin (Hysteria, Bosoms and Neglect, The Price) helms this quirky romantic comedy, featuring Amanda Duarte, Gabriel Marin, Beth Wilmurt, and Danny Wolohan. JACK GOES BOATING plays at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley June 12 through July 19

The Wilma Theater welcomes a distinguished group of speakers on Monday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m. for The Metamorphoses of Sigmund: Freud and His Afterlives, a panel discussion in conjunction with the East Coast premiere of Hysteria, by Terry Johnson. Directed by Jiri Zizka, the production brings the theater's 30th anniversary season to a close and runs May 13 through June 14, 2009.

John Barrowman is set to join the cast of Menier Chocolate Factory's La Cage aux Folles, stepping into the roll of Albin on 9/14. The roll is currently being played by Roger Allam.

Natacha Roi and Don Reilly take on the historical roles of Emilie Du Châtelet and Voltaire in the World Premiere of Lauren Gunderson's Emilie - La Marquise Du Châtelet Defends Her Life at the Petit Théâtre at Cirey Tonight at South Coast Repertory. Commissioned by SCR and directed by Producing Artistic Director David Emmes, Emilie will run from April 19 through May 10, 2009 on the Julianne Argyros Stage. Low-priced previews are available from April 19 through April 23. Opening night is April 24. West Coast Ensemble (WCE) announces its 2009 Season, their 'BIG'-gest Season Ever! The 2009 season of this award-winning theatre company will present two stage adaptations starting with THE GRADUATE and the musical version of the 1987 film, BIG; followed by the West Coast premiere of ANITA BRYANT DIED FOR YOUR SINS and Edward Albee's THREE TALL WOMEN.
