Tangent Theatre Company, in association with AboutFACE Ireland, announces their 3rd NEWvember New Plays Festival - a showcase of original plays by promising playwrights to be held at the Carpenter Shop Theater, their 50-seat performance space in the historic village of Tivoli. The 88 announced today the release of their sixth studio album, Fortune Teller, available June 11, 2013.

Now performing at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa through June 9, Director Amanda Dehnert's beguiling new revival of THE FANTASTICKS comes to vibrant life as an old-timey vaudevillian review that just happens to have a love story woven into it. This clever, magical makeover, setting the piece in the midst of an abandoned, dilapidated amusement park called Rocky Point, has wonderfully spilled over into the show's staging, sets, costumes, and, yes, even the songs and characters, resulting in a refreshing new take on the 50-plus-years-old musical.

The Festival premieres 14 new plays, varying from 10 minute to full length productions, over the course of four weekends. Each weekend will contain a different program of plays, beginning May 30th and running to June 23rd. Performances will take place at 8:00pm on Thursday, Today and Saturday, as well as 3:00pm on Sunday.
