The 17th annual The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the largest multi-arts festival in North America continues through August 25, 2013. The festival offers programming from 185 of the world's best emerging theatre troupes and dance companies in 20 venues in downtown Manhattan. With attendance topping 75,000 people, FringeNYC is New York City's fifth largest annual public event (just behind NY International Auto Show, Tribeca Film Fest, NYC Marathon, and Comic Con). Shows represent 13 countries and 17 U.S. states, plus an array of genres including drama, comedy, classical theater, dance, performance art, puppetry, clowning, and children's theater. On Wednesday, Why You Beasting? became the first show of the 2013 festival to sell out its entire run. Several productions have already sold out multiple individual performances including: Rubble, Big Dummy, Cowboy's Don't Sing, Off The Desk, Bellini and the Sultan, and Snakes I Have Known. After more than eight months of playing to packed houses in Santa Monica and North Hollywood, Smoke and Mirrors - a heartfelt comedy-drama with mind-bending magic that has been named 'Critics Pick' in the Los Angeles Times - has extended its run again at The Road on Lankershim, 5108 Lankershim Blvd in NoHo.
The Anata Project dance company, founded by Bay Area resident Claudia Anata Hubiak, has announced its spring season performances featuring two new world premieres - The Hush Hush Chronicles and Kittleslip. This evening of dance will also include a new work by guest artist Summation Dance from New York City.
After more than seven months of playing to packed houses in Santa Monica and North Hollywood, Smoke and Mirrors - a heartfelt comedy-drama with mind-bending magic that has been named 'Critics Choice' in the Los Angeles Times - has extended its run again at The Road on Lankershim, 5108 Lankershim Blvd in NoHo. Smoke and Mirrors is now set to run through Sunday, June 30.

General FringeNYC applications are being accepted for participants in all genres (theatre, dance, puppetry, performance art, multi-media, etc.), and separate FringeAL FRESCO (free outdoor events) and FringeJR (children's programming) applications are also available.
