Tribeca Film and Miramax Announce Distribution Deal for 'Last Night' Film

Tribeca Film and Miramax today announced they are teaming up on the U.S. release of Last Night, an intricately layered relationship drama starring Keira Knightley, Sam Worthington, Eva Mendes and Guillaume Canet. Tribeca Film has acquired theatrical, VOD and select digital rights to Last Night and plans to release the film in Spring 2011 theatrically in multiple U.S. markets, including New York and Los Angeles, and also via national VOD outlets and on additional platforms.

The Desert will have a rare opportunity to see a new one-man musical presented by Jim J. Bullock on Sunday, January 23rd at 7 PM at the Arthur Newman Theatre at The Joslyn Center in Palm Desert. The show entitled 'Different' will use songs and stories to highlight the ups and downs of Jim's personal life and extensive show-business career.

Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that Patrick Cassidy is at work on a new piece about his father, the late musical actor Jack Cassidy, who died in an accidental fire at the age of 49. The younger Cassidy is developing a one-man show about Jack, with the help of some of Jack's old friends, including Hal Prince and John McMartin.

Our hero is Gavin, a young orphan rescued from a dismal existence in the Ivanhoe Workhouse for Criminally Impoverished Boys when he is apprenticed with the local Nosemaker, eventually to become one of the finest surgeons in Vienna, cradle of quack medicine.
