The 10 year celebration of the BET Awards '10 is promising to be bigger and better than ever. Each year The BET Awards continuously delivers memorable performances and this year is no different. Guaranteed to be the biggest night in television, BET is proud to announce and welcome Kanye West to the stage; making this his first major awards show appearance since his appearance on the 2009 MTV VMAs. While West received much backlash and criticism following the VMAs, BET decided to give the multifaceted performer a spot in music history during its 10 year anniversary special. Viewers can anticipate a dynamic comeback performance. Newly added performances also include Ludacris, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Drake and many more.

BET Networks, a unit of Viacom ( VIA, VIA.B), today announced that entertainment superstar Queen Latifah has been tapped to host the tenth anniversary of the mega-hit, #1 rated awards show among African American viewers, the BET AWARDS. This much-anticipated special will broadcast LIVE from the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 8:00 P.M.* on BET and via live stream on BET.com.

This year, the show will celebrate the music, the influence and the artists from The South. Honorees Jermaine Dupri, J Prince of Rap-A-Lot Records, Luther 'Luke' Campbell, The 2 Live Crew, Master P, and Organized Noize will be honored through performances in collaboration with some of today's hottest talent. Hosted by Craig Robinson, '2010 VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South' will tape from NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom and air on VH1 on Monday, June 7 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.
