On Wednesday, September 15th at 6:30PM, the Broadway community will gather alongside Stephen Sondheim as the lights of the newly dedicated Stephen Sondheim Theatre marquee are lit for the first time.

Ari Graynor & Jonah Hill Team Up for 'The Sitter' Flick

Deadline.com has revealed that Ari Graynor will team up with Jonah Hill in the David Gordon Green-directed The Sitter for Fox. Michael De Luca prodeces the film, which, according to The Hollywood Reporter 'follows a college student, suspended for the semester and living at home with his single mom, who has a night to remember when he gets talked into baby-sitting the eccentric kids next door: two boys and a wild 8-year-old girl.'

Theyre_playing_Sour_Song_20010101 Broadway darling Sutton Foster and Seth Rudetsky are teaming up on a concert version of They're Playing Our Song to benefit The Actor's Fund on August 30 at the Gerald W. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College in New York City. The concert will be directed and choreographed by Denis Jones and musical directed by Steve Freeman. Additional casting details are forthcoming.

Foster & Swenson Lead BONNIE & CLYDE Readings at Snapple Center, 9/10

Above the Title Entertainment (Jed Bernstein) will present two special readings of the new musical, Bonnie & Clyde: A Folktale, on Friday, September 10 at the Snapple Theatre Center (1627 Broadway). Bonnie & Clyde: A Folktale features a book by Hunter Foster and music & lyrics by Rick Crom. Under the direction of Lonny Price, the cast will feature Sutton Foster as ‘Bonnie' and Will Swenson as ‘Clyde,' along with Marc Kudisch, Beth Leavel and more. These readings are by invitation only.

ANYTHING GOES to Have Cast of 30, Orchestra of 16

Yesterday evening, August 23, the Times Talk hosted a Q&A and discussion with the ANYTHING GOES team, two-time Tony Award-winning director Kathleen Marshall and Tony-winning star Sutton Foster at The Times Center. Next Spring, Roundabout Theatre Company will present a new Broadway production of ANYTHING GOES, starring Foster as 'Reno Sweeney.' Directed & choreographed by Marshall, ANYTHING GOES will begin performances March 10th, 2011 and officially open on April 7th, 2011 on Broadway at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.

Berkshire Theatre Festival Welcomes Sutton Foster in Concert, 8/22

Artistic Director/CEO Kate Maguire is pleased to announce that Tony® award winner Sutton Foster will be bringing her cabaret performance An Evening with Sutton Foster to Berkshire Theatre Festival on August 22 at 7pm on the historic Main Stage. Tickets for the evening are $25 and $45, with a limited number of VIP tickets at $70. VIP tickets feature prime seating locations and admission to an exclusive post-show reception featuring the artists. This evening of song and laughter, presented with her Musical Director Michael Rafter accompanying, is fueled by Ms. Foster's sparkling wit and incredible voice. Songs for the evening are drawn from her critically-acclaimed debut solo album Wish and from the stage roles that have helped make her famous, such as Thoroughly Modern Millie and The Drowsy Chaperone.

Foster to Appear at Landmark's Spotlight Gala, 11/6

The annual gala benefit for Landmark on Main Street will take place on Saturday evening, November 6, 2010 with a special performance by Broadway's leading lady Sutton Foster and a post-concert celebration in the tented Spotlight Club. Larry O. Tietz and Frank C. Ullman will be honored for their contributions to the organization and the community.
