Artists Rep Announces WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT By Nassim Soleimanpour

Artists Repertory Theatre, in association with Aurora Nova Productions and Boat Rocker Entertainment, presents White Rabbit Red Rabbit by Nassim Soleimanpour featuring one local actor for each show who performs the play cold. This one-weekend engagement is the final production of Artists Rep's 2017/18 FRONTIER SERIES which brings new work in performance to Portland. White Rabbit Red Rabbit will run for only four performances Thursday, April 12 through Sunday April 15, 2018.

THE THANKSGIVING PLAY By Larissa FastHorse Comes to Artists Rep, 4/1

Artists Repertory Theatre is proud to present the World Premiere of The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa FastHorse (Sicangu Lakota) from April 1 through 29, on the Morrison Stage. The play is directed by Luan Schooler, Artists Rep's Director of New Play Development & Dramaturgy. The Thanksgiving Play is the second commission of the theatre's Table|Room|Stage new play development program to receive its World Premiere at Artists Rep.

SCARLET Extends Through April 1

Due to overwhelming demand, Portland Playhouse's hit production has added 8 additional performances including six shows during the week of March 27 - April 1.

Portland Playhouse Returns Home With SCARLET

After ten months of renovations to their North Portland theatre, Portland Playhouse joyfully returns home for the third production of their tenth anniversary season, Scarlet. The new musical, based on the novel The Scarlet Letter, by Nathaniel Hawthorne, is a fitting homecoming production, taking the strong bones of a classic and giving it another look from a fresh angel.

Artists Repertory Theatre to Present Christopher Chen's CAUGHT

Artists Repertory Theatre presents Caught, a show centered around Chinese dissident artist Lin Bo that combines visual art and live theatre installations. Caught is presented in partnership with The Ch j Gallery/SF and The Geezer Gallery, and features dozens of collaborators including playwright Christopher Chen. The production runs October 1 through October 29, 2017 on Artists Rep's newly configured Morrison Stage.

Artists Rep presents THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST

For the final production of its 2016/17 season, Artists Repertory Theatre presents The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, directed by Resident Artist Michael Mendelson.  Previews run May 16 through May 19, the play opens May 20 and runs through June 11 on the Alder Stage.

American Dream Teeters on the Edge in Dark Comedy THE TALENTED ONES

Artists Repertory Theatre presents the World Premiere of The Talented Ones by Yussef El Guindi, directed by Jane Unger. Preview performances run April 25 through April 28, the play opens April 29 and runs through May 21 on the Morrison Stage. The Talented Ones is Artists Rep's first new play development commission for Table|Room|Stage (T|R|S) as part of the Oregon Community Foundation's "Creative Heights Initiative."

RISE UP: Portland Sings for Justice

On February 20, Presidents' Day, Portland Sings! presents RISE UP: Portland Sings for Justice. A host of the Rose City's most talented artists will come together at Artists Repertory Theatre for an evening celebrating America's constitutional rights through song and story as a benefit for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Expect to hear some powerful folk ballads, show tunes and original works during this concert for Justice.

Holiday shows can be pretty cliche -- someone learns the true meaning of Christmas and then everyone breaks into song. Now, don't get me wrong, I look forward to watching Mickey's Christmas Carol and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon version) every year. But during a time when new societal fault lines seem to open up every day, we need a different story.

THE MIRACLE WORKER Extends Again Through Jan 17 at Artists Rep

In light of robust patron demand and excellent press reviews, Artists Repertory Theatre is delighted to announce they will extend THE MIRACLE WORKER for a second time. THE MIRACLE WORKER will now run through January 17, 2016.
