The Raymond F. The new Christmas musical has special meaning for Timothy, who's in his second show this year directed by Casey Nicholaw.

THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS will play its final performance on Broadway on Sunday, December 12. The production, which opened October 31 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street), will have played 49 performances and 29 previews. Previews began on October 7. THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS is the last collaboration of Broadway songwriting legends John Kander and Fred Ebb. The musical features a book by David Thompson and is directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman. Yesterday, December 1, John Kander and the Boys visited Borders Book Store in New York to talk all things SCOTTSBORO and sign copies of the Vineyard production cast album. On Sunday, November 14, 2010, The National Arts Club was the site of a Gala evening honoring Richard Maltby, Jr., David Shire and John Weidman. The VIP guests enjoyed cocktails and a repast featuring the culinary artistry of the talented chefs at The National Arts Club. Guests were then entertained with a variety of music by David Shire and Richard Maltby,Jr. with selections from the musicals of Scott Frankel, Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman and performed by Stars of Broadway, Television and Film, including BD Wong, Karen Ziemba, Mario Cantone, Lynne Wintersteller , Julia Lema and Fred Applegate. Memorable Recollections were provided by theatre greats Susan Stroman and Gala honorary Chairs Maury Yeston and Sheldon Harnick. After the awards presentation guests enjoyed Champagne, coffee and a magnificent array of desserts.

Called by The New York Times 'a tonic for adults, and for children a transfixing journey,' this spectacular musical extravaganza ran for ten years at Madison Square Garden, complete with falling snow, exuberant dances by famed choreographer Susan Stroman, flying ghosts and a magnificent set which recreated the streets, graveyards, homes and buildings of Dickensian, London.

The Tony and two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) will continue its popular VINEYARD VOICES - a series of panel discussions with leading figures from the theatre community - on Monday, November 22 at 7 p.m. with an evening entitled, "THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS: From Inception to Broadway," it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director of Vineyard Theatre.

According to a report by Baz Bamigboye for UK Daily Mail, Michael Cerveris is in talks to reprise his role in Sondheim and Weidman's musical Road Show. Cerveris appeared in the Public Theatre production of the show 2 years ago. Road show will make its UK premiere at the Menier Chocolate Factory Theatre in London next summer.

On Friday, November 19 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, Broadway stars Kate Baldwin, Aaron Lazar, and Christiane Noll join The New York Pops, under the direction of Steven Reineke to celebrate the 80th birthday of legendary Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Sondheim-whose actual birthday was on March 22-is widely acknowledged as the most innovative and influential composer and lyricist in modern Broadway history. The concert will feature performances of some of the most beloved songs and soliloquies from Sondheim's extensive career. Vocal ensemble Essential Voices USA-led by Judith Clurman-also joins The New York Pops for this special performance.
