The second production of the new Jewish Theatre's 2018-19 season is the entertaining comedy, An Act of God. Directed by NJT Artistic Director Edward Coffield, the show runs November 29 - December 16.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) continues its 2018-19 season with Paula Vogel's "A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration." Elizabeth VanDyke will direct. Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC), recent recipient of the Weissberg Foundation's 2016-2019 Fund for Diversity in Theater to engage and expand new voices and audiences in DC-area theatres, announces its commitment to a goal of 50% people of color representation (artists, designers and technicians) in its professional theatre season to better reflect the diversity of our audiences and community. This commitment is part of its EDI initiatives which includes a new Fellowship program for Assistant Directors who are people of color and working with a consensus organizer on its production of Huckleberry Finn's Big River. Recognizing a need in the industry for equity and diversity and to reflect the highly diverse DC and Montgomery County area, Adventure Theatre MTC has already upheld this commitment with its current production of Blueberries for Sal cast and creative team.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center today announced that submissions for the Elevator Project 2019/2020 season will be accepted beginning Wednesday, January 2, 2019 through Thursday, January 31, 2019.

Veils is a two-woman show featuring actors Fathiya Ritter and Alaji. In this familiar yet estranged city, a tragic story is revealed as the court case unfolds, highlighting the deficiency and pathos of urban survival. An Unjust Good Fellow is written by Callas Cheang and directed by Octavian Chan. At its 2017 premiere, the play received tremendous acclaim during its sold-out run. Actor Ng Ka Leung's portrayal of an Alzheimer's patient earned him a nomination as Outstanding Actor at the 9th Hong Kong Theatre Libre. The original cast returns for this revival, including newly crowned Golden Horse "Best Supporting Actor" Ben Yuen, Sung Boon Ho, Man Sui Hing and Ng Ka Leung. An Unjust Good Fellow will appear at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Studio Theatre from December 21st to 30th 2018. Tickets are now available for sale in URBTIX outlets.

Ensemble Studio Theatre and The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation announced today casting for the World Premiere of Behind the Sheet, written by Charly Evon Simpson (Jump) and directed by Colette Robert (Mary's Wedding).

Pieter-Dirk Uys' newest show, When in doubt say darling, sold out as it opened at the Fugard Theatre in August this year, creating an unprecedented demand for tickets. The show returns to the same venue on 27 November by popular demand.

New York City Opera has announced that it will produce the world premiere of the award-winning jazz composer/pianist Ted Rosenthal's DEAR ERICH.  This new jazz opera, to be co-produced with the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, will open Wednesday, January 9 and will play four performances only through Sunday, January 13 at the Edmond J. Safra Hall at 36 Battery Place, in lower Manhattan.

Broadway's Wicked and Annie pianist, Garrett Taylor, will join The Naples Players December 1-9, 2018 as a Special Guest Artist Conductor to lead the orchestra of Irving Berlin's White Christmas.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's concludes its 56th season with its sixth and final Main Stage production, 'The Winter's Tale.' Last seen at The Shakespeare Theatre in 2008, Artistic Director Bonnie J. Monte directs this new production. The Howard County Arts Council will mark 22 years of recognizing the local arts community's brightest stars at its signature event, the Celebration of the Arts in Howard County gala, to be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 6-10 p.m. at the Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center at Howard Community College.
