Celebrated Philadelphia playwright Jacqueline Goldfinger is bringing the world premiere of CLICK, a fast, darkly humorous play, to the award-winning Simpatico Theatre. The work will be staged as a co-production with The University of the Arts as part of Simpatico's 'Season of System Failures' from March 27 to April 14, 2019 at The Louis Bluver Theatre at The Drake (302 S. Hicks Street, Philadelphia, PA). Opening night for press is Friday, March 29 at 8PM.

Playhouse on Park has cast Lauren Gunderson's The Revolutionists, a grand and dream-tweaked comedy about art and activism, feminism and terrorism, violence and legacy, and changing the world. Rep Stage, the professional regional theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), continues its 26th season with "Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992," written by Anna Deavere Smith and directed by Paige Hernandez. Anna Deavere Smith's stunning play explores the people who experienced the Los Angeles riots and the devastating human impact of that event. From nine months of interviews with more than 200 people, Smith chose voices that best reflect the diversity and tension of a city in turmoil, all portrayed by one actress in a tour-de-force performance. A work that goes directly to the heart of the issues of race and class, "Twilight" ruthlessly probes the language and the lives of its subjects, offering stark insight into the complex and pressing social, economic, and political issues that fueled the flames in the wake of the Rodney King verdict.

What does science have to tell us about love? Viola Davisand Julius Tennon's JuVee Productions and American Oasis present a moving, funny and thought-provoking drama about science, culture, religion and more. Vicangelo Bulluck directs the West Coast premiere of Paradise by Laura Maria Censabella, running Jan. 26 throughFeb. 17 in a visiting production at the Odyssey Theatre.

PAGE 73 PRODUCTIONS has named Sanaz Toossi the 2019 Page 73 Playwriting Fellow. Selected from nearly 400 applicants, Toossi will receive a $10,000 award and an additional $10,000 budgeted for developing several new plays over the course of the year.

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia presents the dazzling multimedia work No Blue Memories: The Life of Gwendolyn Brooks on February 24, 2019, at 7pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall as part of the Beyond Words series. The late poet was a radical and disruptive presence within the national literary scene, becoming the first African-American to win the Pulitzer Prize in 1950. In this ambitious creation, innovative art-collective Manual Cinema collaborates with Chicago-based poets Eve L.
