Dr. Barbara Ann Teer's National Black Theatre (NBT) has selected two Black playwrights for its I AM SOUL residency program, the nation's premier theatrical program dedicated solely to the development of Black playwrights, with a commitment to a workshop production of their new works.

Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) at Boulder begins with a very special afternoon of entertainment, Friday, September 23 from 4-5:45pm at the Canyon Theater at the Main Boulder Public Library, featuring the beautiful music of Amrit Kaur Lohia and a solo theater performance of original work by Aditya Roy. As with all presentations at the JLF at Boulder Festival, September 23-25, the performance is free and open to the public (appropriate for children ages 11 and above).

New York, NY - Sir Simon Rattle will conduct The Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys and Orchestra of St. Luke's in a special benefit concert to include Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughn Williams and Edward Elgar's Serenade for Strings on Sunday, September 18 at 7:00pm. The concert will be the last in a yearlong series of performances that have been offered at St Thomas Church Fifth Avenue in honor of Maestro John Scott who served as Organist and Director of Music for eleven years, and who died unexpectedly in August 2015. Proceeds from the concert will be used to create a Saint Thomas Choir School scholarship to assist choristers in need which will be established in John Scott's memory.

Masked audience members had the opportunity to follow Leslie's journey through The McKittrick Hotel and among its 100 rooms, where this mash-up of Macbeth and the film noirs of the 1930s unfolds nightly. In the past, one-night-only guest stars of Sleep No More have also included Neil Patrick Harris, Alan Cumming, Sara Bareilles, Aaron Paul, Dita von Teese, Evan Rachel Wood, and the gents from Flight of the Concords, among many others.
