In this week's all new episode of GLEE, the New Directions raise money for Nationals by holding a benefit concert. The April 19 return of the show also marks the return of Gwyneth Paltrow (who will sing Adele's 'Turning Tables') Charice, and Broadway veteran Cheyenne Jackson as Vocal Adrenaline's new coach. Hot off the record-breaking ratings for the fourth-season premiere last week, SHOWTIME is picking up a fifth season of CALIFORNICATION, it was announced today by Showtime Networks President of Entertainment David Nevins. 12 new episodes of the hit comedy series will go into production this spring.

This week on GLEE, everyone at McKinley High is in a funk, from Mr. Schuester finalizing his divorce to Kurt feeling so depressed he wore the same outfit twice in a week. I can sympathize with the characters' feelings; after last week's Gaga disaster, the show had put me into a mood most foul that seemed as if it could not be rectified. While ‘Funk' had some redeeming, even charming, moments, it did nothing to make up for the perplexing episode that preceded it and ultimately left much to be desired.
