Celebrating 40 years as America's premier ensemble theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company launches its landmark 2015/16 Subscription Season with a large-scale world premiere production of John Steinbeck's masterpiece EAST OF EDEN. The play is currently in previews for an opening night on September 27. The production runs through November 15, 2015 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St). EAST OF EDEN to Open Steppenwolf's 40th Anniversary Season This Fall

Steppenwolf Theatre Company celebrates 40 years as America's longest running, most distinguished ensemble theater with a remarkable lineup of plays in the 2015/16 Subscription Season, all by Pulitzer Prize-winning writers. Kicking off the landmark season is John Steinbeck's East of Eden, a world premiere adaptation by Frank Galati. Steppenwolf's deep connection with the Pulitzer Prize-winning author can be traced back to the company's 1988 production of The Grapes of Wrath, which Galati adapted and directed. The production transferred to Broadway, California and London and received two Tony Awards-Best Play and Best Director-garnering Steppenwolf international acclaim.

Legend states that events come in threes -- a phenomenon in its truest form for The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival as it embarks on a third year honoring the literary world's most nuanced and visionary author, Philip K. Dick. The highly anticipated four-day experience from this weekend, January 15-18, 2015 will screen at three distinguished locations including The Cervantes Institute, Tribeca Cinemas and The Producer's Club and features a slate of innovative features and shorts which capture the distinctive boldness of the the genre and brings forth the most riveting moments of science fiction cinema ever to grace the big screen.

Asian-American Romantic Comedy WEDDING PALACE to Open in Select U.S. Theaters, 9/27

Asian-American Romantic Comedy WEDDING PALACE will open in select U.S. theaters on Sept. 27 it was announced today. Currently, the film is slated to open at Times Square's AMC Empire 25, and Los Angeles/Orange County's CGV Theater, Laemmle's Playhouse 7 in Pasadena, and Edward's University Town Center 6 in Irvine.

Following the sold out performances and overflow crowds for its first year and a half of Cino Nights presentations (including new plays by Gary Sunshine, Mando Alvarado, Courtney Baron, Florencia Lozano,Kristen Palmer, Emily DeVoti, Lucy Thurber, Jessica Dickey, Adam Szymkowicz, Laura Eason, Daniel Reitz, Megan Mostyn-Brown, Dael Orlandersmith, Keith Reddin, Crystal Skillman, and Charlotte Miller), Rising Phoenix Rep continues the series on April 22nd at 7 p.m. with Casual Encountersby Brooke Berman.
