The Broadway company of 'The Book of Mormon' has announced that they will add an additional performance to their schedule in order to perform a benefit 'Special Performance' on Sunday, August 28 at 8 pm. All proceeds will go to The Actors Fund.

The Tony Award winning musical, Avenue Q, will welcome two new leads to the cast, the production has announced today. On July 9 Adam Kantor (who made his Broadway debut as Mark Cohen in the closing cast of RENT on Broadway) will join AVENUE Q in the roles of Princeton and Rod. On July 20, Veronica J. Kuehn (last seen on Broadway in MAMMA MIA) will assume the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut.

Kathy Evans, Founder and Executive Director of the Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, announced the fourteen musical theatre writers who will participate for the inaugural summer in July and August. The Rhinebeck Writers Retreat provides a one-week residency for a musical theatre writing team to create and refine their musical in Rhinebeck, New York.

THE BOOK OF MORMON is the first Broadway cast recording to break into Billboard's Top 10 since the release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Hair in 1969, passing the positions of other top-selling cast recordings over the years, such as Dreamgirls, which reached #11 in 1982 and Rent, which reached #19 in 1996. Already the biggest selling digital release of a cast recording of all time, THE BOOK OF MORMON's cast recording is #1 on the digital release chart this week, selling more albums than such artists as Adele and All Time Low.
