Midtown got a special Valentine's treat last night, February 14, as B.B. King Blues Club and Grill hosted the 13th annual Broadway Bears auction in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Broadway star Felicia Finley will perform in the upcoming 'Broadway Bears XIII,' to be held at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill. The 13th annual BROADWAY BEARS auction will coincide with the performance in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Fidelity FutureStage®, the producers of Billy Elliot the Musical and Fidelity FutureStage Honorary Chairman Elton John today announced the second annual Fidelity FutureStage Playwriting Contest - a unique opportunity for area high school students to become Broadway's youngest playwrights.

BROADWAY BEARS is an auction featuring a cuddly chorus line of one-of-a-kind teddy bears, each meticulously outfitted in original, handmade costumes by Broadway's leading costume designers and representing memorable characters from plays and musicals, past and present.

Broadway's cuddliest friends kick off a new year with the 13th annual BROADWAY BEARS auction on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the B.B. Sure to out-do last year's collection, 43 one-of-a-kind BROADWAY BEARS - each dressed in original, handmade costumes representing some of the theater's most legendary performers and/or performances - will be put up for auction.

Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions, in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment, bring the 2009 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Billy Elliot the Musical to Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre Dec. 16, 2010-Jan. 9, 2011.

After a hugely successful run at the Gielgud, the eternally popular musical Avenue Q will move to the Wyndham's (almost back to where it started at the Noel Coward in 2005). The 'Pant Wettingly Funny' show will continue performances at the Wyndham's from March 19, booking until the end of September 2010 - marking Avenue Q's fifth year in London's West End. Due to the change in theatre programming Stephen Daldry's multi award-winning production of An Inspector Calls will close a week early on Saturday 13 March to facilitate the transfer of Avenue Q to the Wyndham's.
