Stephen Costello makes his Glyndebourne Festival debut this evening, Thursday, June 9, performing the role of the peasant Nemorino in Donizetti's beloved bel canto comedy L'elisir d'amore (16 performances through August 4).

Ekaterina Gubanova will sing the role of Giovanna Seymour for this fall's performances of Donizetti's Anna Bolena, replacing El?na Garan?a, who has withdrawn due to pregnancy. Gubanova will sing the performances on September 26, 30, and October 3, 6, 10, 15 18, 21, and 28. Casting for the performances on February 1 and 4 will be announced at a later date.

Am Montag, 6. Spetember 2010 steht an der Wiener Staatsoper die Wiederaufnahme von Puccinis 'La Bohème' unter der musikalischen Leitung von Generalmusikdirektor Franz Welser-Möst auf dem Programm. Die Dekorationen der legendären Inszenierung von Franco Zeffirelli, die im Haus am Ring bereits rund 380 Mal zu sehen war, wurden zum Teil erneuert und neu beleuchtet.
